Protone voodoo floss band for mobility/muscle compression/recovery band

I bought the red band to voodoo floss my elbows. Pretty painful experience and difficult to do on your own by my wife seems to take great pleasure in helping. This band has really helped with my tendonosis. It doesn't come with any instructions for use but I have Kelly Starrett's book and he has plenty of you tube videos online as well. A good product and we'll worth the price.

I have suffered from tendinosis in both knees for over 3 months now and elbow tendinitis for around 1 month. Having voodoo flossed only for a few days, my pain is almost completely gone and I have been able to return to training without restriction. Bands arrived quickly and are a good quality, equivalent to Rouge bands and similar price (only get 1) but very happy overall

It's essentially £17 quid for a strip of plastic. But it does seem to do the job. You can get some serious compression with it and I've been using if for a few weeks and there are no nicks or tears on the band. I also use protone resistance bands and lacrosse balls and it's so far been very well made kit.

I purchased this, after reading excellent reviews of the voodoo floss bands. The precise physiological mechanisms of the said bands seems to unknown. However, it has proved to be effective on a long term injury problem, which had failed to respond to many other treatments. So as far as I am concerned it was a great purchase and one that I would certainly make again.

Just to make it clear, you only get one band, you have to chose which one you want. The black one is thinner than the red one and therefore offers less resistance. I've heard of some people using the black one for their arms and red one for their legs, thinking the red will be too strong for their arms. Personally I disagree. I just use the red one for everything but that is due to my build - I am a powerlifter and weigh 103kg at 181cm. You will have to make an educated guess as to which is best for your build. These are obviously great for flossing your muscle, however I have also used them for joint problems with a lot of success. I get tendinitis in my elbows which flairs up with a lot of volume training. A day after my training (I think it's too much stress to use straight after training) I wrap my elbows tight and move the joint until my fingers go numb then unwrap. I find this has alleviated my tendinitis quite significantly. I have also used the same method in rehabilitating a minor ACL tear. I've never had an injury like that before, so I can't speak to the effectiveness of the method, but I will say that it has healed in less time than I had expected - it definitely didn't make anything worse.

I came across voodoo floss in the book “How to become a supple leopard”. I had a number of resistance bands from previous physio visits so used them and they were ok, but I thought it might be worth trying a proper voodoo floss band. The protone band is excellent and I have found it is so much better. As an example I’ve had discomfort in the foot and ankle, after wrapping using the voodoo band, it honestly feels like I have a brand new foot. Really good. I would highly recommend.

I have had tennis elbow injury for about 5 months, along with some other tendonitis in the arm. The tennis elbow (pain right inside the elbow joint has been the last area to heal, and has been very stubborn. Having looked around for potential solution I came across this floss band and thought I would give it a try as nothing else seemed to be working. It arrived next day, I used it twice that day and the next morning was very pleased to find I was in no pain. I have carried on using twice a day (Youtube has useful demos of what to do) and still on day 2 - I am not in any pain. Its too early to say is this a long term fix but the improvement is significant. If you have tennis elbow and its slow to heal you really must give this a try

I like the product. I bought it on a recommendation from a colleague as my knee has been given me problems. This appears to be helping to reduce the pain I get. The only thing I don't like is when you have to wrap around the leg. I am sure I will find a quicker way. Other than that Supplier was on time and product is good quality.

Ich trainiere meine Knie mit dem Band. Mein Osteopath hat es mir empfohlen. Ich bin sehr zufrieden.

Sehr gut für die unterstützende Behandlung bei Verstauchungen, Bindegewebsverklebungen, etc., die man leicht alleine durchführen kann. Die Voodo Bänder sind sehr Empfehlenswert!

English comment will follow Attention, l’annonce du produit est totalement trompeuse (à dessein?): malgré toutes les photos montrant un pack de deux bandes, l’une rouge, l’autre noire, vous n’en recevrez qu’une (la noire sans doute, car c’est le choix par défaut). Effectivement, vous pourrez voir, en faisant très attention, que les bandes sont vendues séparément. Alors 19€ pour une bands de caoutchouc, c’est de l’hérésie, mais surtout, vous laisser penser de façon aussi évidente que l’achat inclus les deux bandes est tout simplement malhonnête. En revanche, comme toujours, service impeccable de Amazon qui a remboursé l’achat dans les heures qui ont suivi l’envoi de ma réclamation. Be aware, this product description is misleading at the best, dishonest at the worse: despite all the pictures showing you a nice set of two bands, one red, one black, you will receive only one of them (most likely the black one as it is the default option). Indeed, if you pay (very) close attention, you will notice that the bands are sold separately. First, paying almost 20€ for a single, simple rubber band is outrageous. Second, luring the customers into clicking by clearly letting them think they will purchase a pack of 2 is just bad ethic on behalf of this seller. On the other hand, impeccable customer service on Amazon side, as always. They refunded my purchase within hours after I sent my complain.
