Bayer Garden Arbrex Seal & Heal

I was a little concerned at a 3 inch by 2 inch split in the bark of an amelanchier tree that had occurred and which was allowing wet in and wood lice! I took the bark off, fully cleaned the area and applied two coats of Arbrex Seal and Heal to the area over a couple of dry days (making sure the first coat was fully dry before the second one). The repair looks to be very effective and the product is an almost identical colour to the original amelanchier bark so it is hardly noticeable. Certainly it looks to be fully watertight and has kept the wood lice out whilst nature takes its own course underneath. The product is quite viscous and the applicator on the bottle top made it very easy to apply. I am very pleased with the result and it should keep disease away from a lovely tree.

I moved into a house a year ago which has a 15-16ft tall hedge of conifers which are suffering from waterlogging and various pests.After closer inspection, it would appear these trees had grown quite significantly and were cut to the current height leaving bare stumps. Unfortunately, the stumps were cut flat, allowing water to sit and rot/insects soon moved in.After cutting around 2ft from the rotted stump, I applied this product and its great. I've never used something like this before so didn't really know what to expect, but the product itself is a thick, sticky green liquid and is applied using the built in nozzle.A few weeks on and it seems to be doing a great job of keeping out the pests and sealing the wound on the conifer.I've given this product 4/5 stars for its ease to use, quality and price and the only thing that let it down is that it is a bit messy to apply (it may have been better to paint on with a disposable brush).

I have used this for years on lopped tree branches. It is easy, quick & clean to apply. Very sticky, it covers the cut & stays put until dry. I have Also used it on open bark wounds.Easy to apply by squeezing the bottle, flooding the attached stiff plastic brush & simply brushing on. No need to clean the brush after, screw top back on, job done. A nice moss green in colour, it blends well on any tree. Read instructions for cleaning from hands & fingers. I think it is White Spirit that removes it with ease, but check beforehand. It survives in the bottle for years, does not go hard, at least mine never has.

As expected. Something I have used for years as I find it effective. Speedy delivery, well packaged.

The best I have found especially on tree wounds.Comes with built in brush so its easy to apply.Drys well then heals over firmly later on.

I have a cat who tends to scratch trees. And local children often tug at branches doing tree damage. This is a quick solution to prevent matters getting worse.I would have prefered it without the brush on top which would probably suit those with larger areas to cover this is why I give 4 stars as the brush got in the way for me & I needed a much smaller brush.
