No The perches go just inside low, my chickens perch fine on them

how many hens is it for and do they deliver to berwickshire?

I bought this for two of my older birds...... i had another one for the 8 new babies however all 10 ended up in here very cosy.... my birds are free range and only go in to sleep and lay. I think its recommendations are 4-5 bird's. I believe they deliver to all areas of the main land delivey was quick and the coop was easy to build. Its not the strongest coop but ok for a few hens I would recommend painting it before putting it together as the treatment it comes with is not enough for winter months.
