Q: I'm a beginner at terrariums - do these cuttings go right into the dirt in my mini glass jar terrarium? How do I incorporate them?

Yes. The instructions indicate to place directly in dirt. My box was left in the mailbox on a very hot day. No idea how long it was there. I put them all in a shallow pan of water for a few hours prior to putting into potting soil. I have them in a window with indirect sunlight and they seem to be doing well, all except for one. Some even appear to be growinng, after only one week. Was a good purchase. Not sure about the terrarium. I have mine spread out in several different containers, including glass. They all appear to be doing about the same. Unlike most plants, there really wasn't any work to get them started. The included instructions are all that is needed to get them started.

Yes. I did with mine. All plant cutting have rooted and three individual leaves did and i am sure the others will. Great purchase. Will buy from them again.

Q: Will I ever be able to plant these outside in Arizona when it gets down to 20 degrees for a week in winter"?

I live in Tucson and have several succulents, most in pots but a few planted in ground. When temps are to go below freezing, I move my potted succulents and the fruit trees that need protection (fig, avocado, citrus) together and cover them with frost blankets or old bedsheets, bedspreads, etc. The succulents are placed on top of the soil in the containers my fruit trees are in (planting bags, barrels, and big ceramic pots). The sheets go over and around the trees so the weight of the sheets don't damage the succulents. Also, if there's going to be a freeze, don't water the succulents and cactus...they will do better if the soil is dry. Regular plants weather a freeze better if they're watered right before the freeze. This works fine, my succulents do quite well for our usual winters. However a few years ago we had a super cold winter which included an ice storm. I lost almost all my succulents, but the reason is that, as I am disabled, I rely on some helpers to cover/uncover plants. My helper that year told me he had done it but he waited too late. He got to it the second day of the freeze, too late for most of my most delicate plants. Everything froze, but the firesticks grew back from the roots and are trying to take over my yard! I have other helpers now and everything is thriving, look healthy after our normal freeze.

Q: Whats the difference between original and limited edition?

Limited edition has more rare colorful succulents of the sedum variety and usually will have 17-20 succulents per order.
