Flexible & supportive
This product is very good indeed. With Hypermobility Syndrome (multiple, overextending, dislocating unstable painful inflamed joints) I am someone who is spending a lifetime in braces, immobilizers, splints and supports. I wear immobilizing ankle supports which are great when weight bearing and moving but too restrictive and rigid when relaxing. I purchased this Bracoo ankle support without expectation a month ago and have worn it most days since. It's supportive whilst still being flexible, and the ankle still has a full range of movement. It's comfortable to wear for hours at a time with soft breathable material which washes just fine in warm soapy water. I have also popped it into the washing machine. It dries quickly too and retains it's shape. It holds my ankle in position whilst I'm relaxing and toddling around, easing allot of the pain and discomfort. You can adjust the support to fit tighter or looser easily with the velcro connectors. It fits really well and because this product is slimline and not bulky, I have found that I am able to wear it inside most shoes and boots, it becomes a part of you. The only one slight niggle I have is that after many hours or all night, it creates a pressure point at the heal - not surprising after such a length of time, easily solved though - wear a sock or plaster. For me this ankle support is amazing, I'm so thrilled and I certainly intend to try more Bracoo products. Excellent value for money, a hospital quality product.

Plantar Fasciitis
I've had Plantar Fasciitis for 5 months, Doctor has been lass than useful as usual and thought I would try an Ankle Support to see if it would stop the pain. The Bracoo Breathable Neoprene Ankle Support looked OK, I have always found gloves made of neoprene really good, the last pair being made of the same breathable holey kind of neoprene. Getting up in the morning has been really painful so I thought it would make sense to wear the support at night and they have been awesome. I wear a sock under the support and make sure not to have the support too tight but with firm pressure on the plantar fascia ligament under the foot from the crisscross straps. I now have no pain getting up. During the day I can wear it too much as I can feel a slight pain probably from pushing the ligament up too much as it heals. I still wear the support at night and on and off during the day. I bought 2 supports first and after 2 weeks of using them bought another 2 not that I think I need the 2 new ones. Again don't wear them too tight, they work as supports not as a brace, don't wear them 24 hours a day and keep them washed, they dry overnight on a towel. The Bracoo's seem to be well made, the first one I wore got quite a battering being worn too tight the first week and has no sings of wear from being walking about on with no shoes. I'm going to hopefully get back to going to the gym next month, wearing the Bracoo's of-course under my trainers. Have to say I'm really happy with the Braccoo's as I was getting a bit worried. They have worked well on my Plantar Fasciitis. I have a bit of pain but I'm not hobbling around like an old man anymore and as soon as I feel the hot needles in my heel back on goes the Bracoo....Happy man....Bloody NHS....but I guess a life time of walking around with no shoes on has not helped....

Comfortable and does the job.
I bought the Bracoo Ankle Support to help provide additional stability and strength for a chronic ankle injury. I broke the ankle 20 years ago and have been left with a legacy of arthritis which has become more problematic since I've recently started using a running machine. Despite being surprisingly thin, the product seems up to the task, providing enough support and stability to the joint to prevent aggravation of the condition. The support is thin enough to fit inside my running shoe without being too uncomfortable and still provides enough flexibility of movement not to hinder running. I find the foot does feel quite hot when wearing it although this is not necessarily a bad thing for a stiff arthritic joint. Maybe not quite so good for an ankle which is prone to swelling though. Regarding fit, despite being one-size-fits-all I doubt the ankle support would be a good comfortable fit if my foot and ankle were much larger - my ankle circumference is 23cm and my foot is 28cm at the points where the support is worn (I have thin ankles but a size 10.5 shoe size). Without being stretched, the width of the wings that wrap around the ankle are 25cm and around the foot are 26cm. I find the support most comfortable when applied with the minimum amount of stretch available to me with the velcro being securely fixed. There is certainly more stretch available if required but this does make the support noticeably tighter. Obviously this would be beneficial if firmer support is required although I suspect it may not be quite as comfortable if worn for a significant length of time. I guess if the support was any bigger it may overlap too much when applied to a small foot and ankle so a compromise is to be expected. Ideally I think a choice of sizes would be better though. (I hope my description of the size is not too confusing, and is at least of some use to anyone wondering if the support will fit them ok) All things considered, I'm happy with the purchase and find the Bracoo support beneficial and suitable for my needs.

Very good product
I have been suffering with arthritic pain in my ankle and foot and saw this product and thought worth a try. I can't believe how good it is after only trying for the first time and had it on for a couple of hours and I have no pain for the first time since I can remember and I don't take pain killers. Very good product, comfortable and very supportive. Try it you have nothing to lose as the price is good to.

Not quite as good
Had one of these and wore everyday for work for nearly two years so it was getting a bit worn out. Searched it in my old orders and was linked to this product claiming it was an updated version so re ordered. Have to say it’s changed and not as good. L/XL seemed smaller, more bulky in my shoes and not as comfortable as previous. Still gives good support but you know you’re wearing it compared to the previous version.

Really comfortable to wear
This strap has really helped with my Ankle cramps. So easy to put on & is really comfortable to wear that I even forget some times that I have got it on. Unfortunately I can't wear it with my Boots, but as it's at home I need it most, not a great problem.

Comfortable to use.
Possibly order a larger size than you would normally wear. Otherwise it worked well in supporting my wife's foot when out of the boot. Easy to use and gave good support.

Good firm support.
Good support, but quite bulky fabric makes it difficult to fit a shoe over it. On the other hand the non stretchy nature of the fabric means it lasts better after washing.

Cut my foot sprain healing time in half
This brace was indispensable in healing a Grade 2 foot sprain that I sustained recently. I inverted my foot with all my weight on it and overstretched my fibularis ligaments and probably my peroneus longus tendon, too. I don't think that I tore anything, but it certainly is possible because my fifth metatarsal area (outside of foot) immediately swelled up, became red, and felt quite painful. I couldn't put any weight on the foot, so I hobbled, hopped, and limped around for a few days. Icing throughout the day, elevating the foot, and rubbing arnica and Penetrex cream helped the pain and swelling a lot, but I still couldn't walk right after two weeks, and the sprain seemed to be getting worse. Then, I saw a podiatrist who took x-rays, determined it wasn't a fracture, and wrapped my foot in the same configuration as an ankle brace. I ordered this from Amazon because it was made out of waterproof Neoprene so I could wear it swimming, wore it for a few days, and felt a dramatic improvement in my sprain. Within days, I was able to walk without a brace normally again. My foot ligaments are still healing, so I have to hold off on hiking and running for a couple weeks longer to be safe, but I'm convinced that wearing this brace gave my ligaments and tendons the support and break they needed to heal faster. I later learned that braces such as this one are recommended in healing ankle and foot sprains. I wear a women's size 9 shoe, and this brace fit very well. Due to its long straps and strong construction, with a generous opening for the heel, I think it would serve all sizes for men and women, up to and including men's size 12/13. It can fit under a sock, but I think it would make slipping the foot into shoes uncomfortable and/or difficult. I wore relaxed-fit Crocs flips and clogs while using it. It did not make my foot sweaty, either. I recommend this ankle brace and really wish that I had begun wearing it right after my sprain. I would have healed so much faster.

Very Helpful
I have a size 9 foot and this was ideal to use in combination. I had torn my ligament off the bone. During the day I’d have my foot strapped, but when my partner wasn’t available to do this I used this to give protection in the mean time. It’s comfortable, maybe a little difficult with different footwear. Okay for wearing with sandals. I think it’s a good product and have utilised it since I purchased it.
