Effective and easy to use tuner
This tuner is effective and easy to use. It's clip opens wide enough to fit on the headstock of my bass guitars, and grips well enough not to fall off.. The screen swivels to an angle where I can see it when playing. The display gives a clear indication of when you are in tune or how far off tune. Perhaps not as visible in low light as some led-only designs, but visible enough for my purposes. It is quite responsive, so you can check intonation while playing. (As with any tuner, you may need to damp lower strings to get readings for higher strings.)Also good value for money -- especially if you can buy it when it's one of "Today's deals" -- useful given that it is handy to have a couple of tuners in your bag, and tuners sometimes let you down (although the Mugig hasn't failed me yet!)All in all, I like it a lot -- and I have owned a large range of tuner designs.

Not sensitive but accurate
Great tuner, easy to use, nice colour display. I doesn't seem as sensitive as other tuners I have used, it takes a while to pick up the note but when it does it's accurate.

Help!
As a complete beginner I am struggling to understand any of the instructions which are written in very poor English and are complete gobbledegook.. Without resorting to Youtube I wouldnt even know how to attach it to the instrument. It may be wonderful I dont know - if I ever get it to work or understand how it is supposed to work. Sort the instruction leaflet out and get it translated by someone who actually speaks English!

Overcomplicated
This is fiddly to use, and it's easy to easy to change the fine-tuning of the key by accidental button pushing. This is shown by the number of tiny "flats" symbols appearing in the bottom left of the display. This feature is not clearly documented and can make it seem that the tuner is not working. Mugig make great ukuleles, but there are better and simpler tuners available.

Great little tuner at a bargain price.
Great little clip on tuner for my concert and soprano ukes. Appears to be as good as, and more compact and bijou than, my partner's chromatic tuner which was considerably more expensive. Really easy to use with only 2 buttons; one for on/off and the other for frequency selection. Mine is set at 440Hz and appears to stay there so when tuning is required there is no fiddling about with this button. Clear display and a bargain buy. I would recommend this product to someone who wants a fuss free, small, easy to use, quick to set up tuner.

Poorly written instructions - found it no good for tuning my guitars.
I find it impossible to use. the instructions are illegible and I had to scan them into my computer to get the text enhanced so that it was readable but I shouldn't have bothered. They're very poorly written in a sort of pidgin English. I spent an hour yesterday trying to use it to tune my new Fender Strat but gave up in the end, I think it's supposed to have a sort of electronic dial and when the string is tuned correctly you get a blue line in the middle. However I couldn't get any response for the bottom four strings beyond the name of the string - no way of telling, apart from b y ear, whether or not the string is tuned correctly. I reverted to using my basic little digital tuner which flashes green when it's in tune and found that my attempts to use thew Mugig tuner had rendered the instrument completely out of tune. Now ordered another basic green flashing type which seem to work perfectly well.

good tuner.
very easy to use, the only thing is that you must check the setting fo the right instrument, apart from that it is ok..

Couldn't get it to work initially
I initially couldn't get this to work but now I see it appears to have different modes. The A4 button, if tapped allows you to change the frequency ( normally sets to 440Hz for guitar). However, if you hold the A4 button b-flat symbols appear next to the Hz under the frequency. Release the A4 key and re-hold and another appears. Repeat this and you can get up to four b-flats appear. To make the tuner work in normal mode use the A4 key (hold and relase) until there are no b-flats symbols. Hope that makes sense but it work fine now, The three stars is because this feature in not documented (no idea what the modes are.....anyone?). Hope that makes sense but it works fine now, The four stars is because this feature ...
