My boots love it.
Wonderful product. It polishes your leather boots to a blinding shine. What else is it expected to do?

Amazing
I think this is the perfect cloth for shining boots and shoes. It really is so great and works well. This is the second one I have bought and I just love the quality of it so much.

Best cloth for boot polishing
I’ve had a similar one for over 15 years passed down from my grandparents and so I thought I buy an new one to honour my grandfather so I used it whilst in the military for five years and it outperforms any and all cloths best value for money, as they last for a very long time when looked after and can retain the softness for a perfect shine.

Bought to shine my dress shoes. Used these whilst in the army and never forgot the shine on my boots.

Stand still the front rank
I have often pondered whether I should sue the MOD for RSI arising out of the millions of circular movements my right index finger was forced to undertake some 52 years ago when I was undergoing basic training, followed by periodic sessions for parades etc over the following 21 years. At that time there was an obligation to purchase large thick dusters from the NAAFI and equally large thick tins of Kiwi black boot polish. It appears that those days are mainly over, Kiwi boot Polish is no longer available in the same quantities and the quality dusters, thick as blankets, have disappeared. Thankfully as our son enters basic training, I was able to source Kiwi black and brown polish ahead of him starting phase 1 training and having undertaking some research purchased this cloth. I believe that much of the BS which I undertook taking two pairs of DMS boots to totally gleaming (best boots) and toes and heels (workers) have gone, although I believe the shoes remain which take very little time to bring up to a mirror like finish. Gone are the heavily stippled boots (my first pair of ‘ammo boots’) and for most the need to get these waxed. So how does this cloth compare to the NAAFI yellow duster? Pretty good actually, but it will never replace the effect of rendering the end of your index finger to look like a black and yellow prune. Nice product, does the job very well but thankfully I think there is a greater focus now on developing soldiers than giving them countless hours of polishing boots. Nice item, does the job well and essential kit for a recruit.

25x25 too small for decent shoe shine
These cloths are great but this size 25x25 are too small for decent shoe shine. Go for the bigger size 35x35 much better!

Mirror, Mirror, in my Boots...
I didn't buy this Selvyt polishing cloth to clean. I bought it to pursue greatness. As someone who spends an unreasonable amount of time trying to convince a pair of leather boots that they should double as emergency signalling mirrors, I needed a polishing cloth worthy of the mission. This, ladies and gentlemen, is the chosen one. The Selvyt glides across the leather with the elegance of a ballroom dancer and the determination of a tax collector. Combined with a bit of polish and elbow grease, it coaxes out a shine so impressive that I briefly caught myself checking my hair in the toe cap. At one point, I was fairly certain the local birds were attempting to land on my boots, mistaking them for a particularly handsome pond. The cloth itself is superb quality—soft, durable and leaves no annoying fluff behind. It buffs beautifully, feels built to last, and somehow manages to make the whole process oddly therapeutic. If you've ever found yourself chasing that elusive mirror finish, this cloth doesn't just help—it practically becomes your accomplice. My boots have now reached the stage where they're less "footwear" and more "mobile reflective surfaces." I'm half expecting motorists to slow down because they've mistaken them for headlights. If you enjoy polishing boots, shoes, belts or anything else leather, buy one. If you don't enjoy polishing, buy one anyway—it might just persuade you otherwise. Just be warned: once you've seen the shine this cloth can produce, you'll spend an embarrassing amount of time admiring your own feet. An outstanding polishing cloth. My boots have never looked better. My vanity, however, has become completely unmanageable.
