Great if you like weak coffee
I bought this machine after buying the Hamilton Beach 60 cup percolator, which didn't work properly. Sadly, neither did this one. After an hour of brewing, coffee looked not much darker than tea. Unfortunately, there is no way to keep the machine percolating until the coffee is dark enough. After running 2 cycles of brew and still getting see through coffee, I packed it back in the box and sent it off. How hard is it really to make a coffee urn that works???

Best we ever had
The grounds basket is fine mesh screen. This means strong coffee with half the usage. Also no grit in the last few cups. Lid design also aids in maximum efficiency. Dual elements helps speeding things up. Great unit
