A mixed bag of excellent and average.
I had searched high an low for a decent entry level record player for a small vinyl collection. It was either cheap all in one units or big name big price gear. This Teac was just what I needed. After a brief and careful set up, I can say it performs at least as well as I expected. The sound comes through well with the twin bookshelf speakers. I put the bass up by one, and the treble down by one, and my metal albums come through clear and growly with zero artifacts or distortion. The provided speakers are good enough for general use or even a small party, but for anything bigger you may need an upgrade. Sound is crystal clear through good quality headphones. There are a couple of issues, as pointed out below. It has: Record turntable - just what I need as an amateur vinyl enthusiast. I've tried a few different 180gsm vinyls on it with zero issues. CD player - I've found that on several CDs we weirdly seem to have one slight skip at the start of an album, and then it plays flawlessly after. If we scan backwards and replay the same 5 seconds of music it won't skip again. Radio - its just a basic aerial radio. It's a shame it couldn't have been DAB for the money, but its not our main focus. I just plugged in the FM, set to bbc 2 and left it at that. Bluetooth - on my Samsung A51 it will sometimes struggle to connect, and once it has it may drop connection slightly causing skipping audio, but on the whole it does work. It could be better. In conclusion, its a solid record player, a decent cd player, the Bluetooth mostly works, and the radio really should have been DAB which is the main disappointment here. However, for the cash you're getting a good enough, grown up hi fi system that's a nice looking piece of kit.

Excellent music system
Really enjoying this music system. Easy to unpack and put together - very clear, concise manual included no need to download or try to read online.. Fairly compact system which looks good. Sound quality from USB and the turntable, (I use these all the time), is very good. I am using my own speakers with the system. Haven't used Bluetooth yet. Some slight delay with delivery but the seller Hi-Fi Confidential kept in touch and kept me informed so no complaints there. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Worth spending a bit more for a decent entry level turntable.
This was a first turntable for my daughter (11yrs). She wanted a retro style, much cheaper but very poor reviews.... So I was guided to this Teac. It is easy to use, good sound, includes digital radio and CD player. Very happy with this product.

Value for money
Smart looking and reasonably solid. Ideal for us as a re-introduction to the delights of vinyl, but still able to enjoy our cds. Decent sound for its size, reasonable radio, shame its not DAB, but never mind. Delivered very swiftly.

The Beauty of Bluetooth
Bought this to finally be able to play my vinyls once again, good turntable and a decent sound for the price, but what was the bonus is the Bluetooth facility, easy to set up with my laptop and iPad and now enjoying the delighs of Spotify and YouTube through the system

Bluetooth causes CD player to skip periodically
This stereo system has an annoying fault which is that devices with Bluetooth turned on cause the CD player to periodically 'skip' - apparently play the wrong section of the CD for one second. The manual says to keep Bluetooth devices and internet routers away from it but a phone the other side of our living room with Bluetooth on causes this interference. Given that Bluetooth connection is a feature of the system this is a significant issue. In every other respect I am happy with it - sound is fantastic, turntable fine although there is some background hum. It looks great. I just can't believe that Bluetooth causes such an annoying problem. And you cannot control other people's Bluetooth devices interfering with the stereo...

Replaced my old stack for more space!
Sound is very similar to my separates stack that finally packed up on me, but I kept my old speakers too just in case, but haven't tried them to see if makes much difference. Says default volume is 20 but I've not had it over 18 yet as it is loud enough. Bit of trouble with bluetooth on my new phone, but on my son's phone and my old phone no problem at all and it was my old phone I used for music anyway. So far everything is working perfectly, my only (slight) issue is the record player is so quiet I don't even hear it when it's reached the end, also the raise arm lever is very close to the arm joint which mean you can easily knock it out of line when you lower the arm.

I decided that the cruiser was very poor in quality and not to my taste
For xmas I was bought some vinyl records and a Crosley cruiser . I decided that the cruiser was very poor in quality and not to my taste . After a good deal of time spent looking for a reasonably priced record player and hi fi system , I saw the teac system a good entry level system to start with . After reading the reviews I was a little sceptical. I soon realised it was a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a lot of expensive hi fi separates that at the moment I could not afford . I decided to take a leap of faith and buy the teac . It is far better quality than the crosley machine. Admittedly I am a vinyl novice but although the turntable is plastic looking it sounds very good in my opinion . The speed seems fine to me and ' heart shaped box ' by Nirvana is currently being played very loudly in my kitchen . I cannot connect my Bluetooth headphones to this but all in all I am very happy with the system . I cannot decide whether I like the unit to look at or detest it . I'm not so keen on the black wood effect . For £285 I would have hoped for a slightly better design but the sound quality for me is excellent.
