I'm writing my John Hancock on this model. It's a beauty!
Okay, I will start off by stating that I am not a professional graphic artist so don't expect an especially artistic bent to this review. I am an avid photographer and have worked in the creative arts my entire career. I love digital photography and the ability to manipulate photos after the fact. The ability to control light and shadows, exposure, midtones, saturation, etc. and being able to control tiny areas of the photograph are all things that I manipulate in the digital darkroom. In order to really work well with masks and feathering to control the effects it really helps to have a tablet and pen. For years I have been using a Wacom Bamboo tablet and pen. They were great for entry level work and for experimenting to see if a tablet was really going to be the tool of choice for me. Well, recently, I built a new PC and the software that I use for photography was upgraded. The response of the Wacom tablet and pen had become unpredictable and disappointing. Wacom no longer had new drivers for the Bamboo tablet line that worked well with Windows 10, so I went on Amazon to see what the latest crop of tablets was like. I didn't want to spend a ton of money since I don't make my living doing this. After reviewing several of the tablets there were just a few criteria that were important to me: The size of the tablet, the number of customizable buttons and their layout, and a pen that didn't require a battery or recharging. I was intrigued by some tablets that were wireless and would allow me to avoid worrying about cords dangling around the keyboard. But after considering how I use my pen and tablet, I realized that I didn't need a wireless version. I had used a Huion tablet before and had been relatively pleased with how it works (it is still at my desk at work where I use it on occasion). But this H640P looked particularly intriguing and the price was certainly appealing. I hooked it up for the first time today and I can tell that Huion has made great leaps forward in the design and function of their tablets. This one is FANTASTIC for what I need it to do. It is SMOOTH and responsive. I have customized the tablet buttons and layout a few times and think I have it roughly where I want it. Using the pen as a digital brush has become a true joy. Having used Wacoms on Macs at work I can tell you that the response and ease of use on my PC with this new tablet feels just as good. I am so impressed with the ease of use I am looking for additional photos to play with! The size of the tablet is great and I can shift it on and off of my lap easily. I keep it right near my keyboard and mouse (yes, there are some things I like to do that require a mouse) for easy access. The tablet is very lightweight yet solid. The nib of the pen glides on this surface. The pressure sensitivity of the pen is fully adjustable in the driver software and I couldn't be happier with how that function works. It has more than 8000 levels of pressure sensitivity allowing me to manipulate the size of the brush on the fly. If I want to expand my brush I just press a bit harder and watch the cursor expand and contract as I press harder or softer. And price is $50.00!!! This thing is a STEAL at this price. If you are on the fence and you have the money to spend (and with Amazon's return efficiency should you decide this tablet isn't right for you) you should DEFINITELY LOOK HARD at this model. I am very pleased with my choice and look forward to a long relationship with my new Huion Inspiroy tablet.

Review for Linux users!
Review for Linux users below! vvv To preface, I’m using Nobara which is redhat based. -Connectivity: 5/5 Had no issues plugging in my tablet and getting connected to the PC. The brushes worked automatically in Krita. -Software: 1/5 Huion does support Debian distros so I’ll give it to them for that, but I couldn’t use the software with my distro specifically so that sucks. When it comes to button mapping, KDE’s tablet mapping feature couldn’t detect my buttons so I had to install 3rd party software (OpenTabletDriver) which helped a lot. - Texture: 4/5 Very smooth tablet, I will say I haven’t drawn a lot on it so I don’t know how it wears down. The pen glide is great, I do personally have to get more used to it. - Appearance: Nice matte black color, I wish they offered more color options though. The size is also very generous and fits nicely on a desk with a keyboard. Ultimately this is a nice beginner tablet, I will be returning it though as I realize I will need a wireless one given the awkward positions of my usb ports for my PC. If this tablet had a wireless option I would buy it in a heartbeat, but they don’t, so I’ll be buying an XPPen.

Works great - i don't recommend the original drivers.
So, for this review to help your purchase, you need to check these boxes. - Do you plan to use the full area of this tablet? (if not, look at something like the H430, it's cheaper, and smaller. have used it before, works about the same.) - Are you on Windows? (7, 8, 10, 11, all works about the same) - Are you ok with the hassle of downloading alternate drivers? If you answered yes to these questions, then this review is for you. Let's get into it. So, all things considered, this thing is great! Pen pressure works, full area is great, very responsive, just all in all a good price to performance tablet. Now, thats about all good things I have to say. In to the nitty gritty we go... The drivers suck, and they suck bad. Things have obviously been google translated and it shows. It "works" well enough for people just giving things a try, but if you are sticking with this tablet in the long run, the driver experience just isn't there. A fix for this is OpenTabletDriver. Primarily, this is used by osu! players, however it has been optimized for most drawing softwares out of the box. Paint.net, Photoshop, Krita, you name it. But - this isn't an advertisement on the fratures of OpenTabletDriver, so do your own research and see if it's right for you. Moving along, the nibs wear down easily compared to other tablets. It isn't exactly the worst problem, as it still takes a LONG time to get through them all, but having to pay 20$ every so often (maybe about a year with heavy use in my experience) it isnt really ideal. But, hey, at least it comes with replacements... (cough cough gaomon cough cough) Also - for the osu! players out there. Just get the H430. I promise you, you will not be using the full area of this tablet. Thank me later. Anyways, I'll stop writing now. Hopefully this helps someone!

Really Solid Tablet for Artists on a Budget
I’ve been using this drawing tablet for art and PNGTuber/chibi work, and honestly I’m really happy with it for the price. The pen feels smooth and responsive, and after calibrating it properly it became way easier to draw cleaner lines. I use MediBang Paint most of the time, and it handles sketching, lineart, and coloring really well. The pressure sensitivity feels nice, especially once I adjusted the settings to my liking. It definitely took a little time getting used to drawing on a tablet instead of paper, but now it feels super natural. I also like that the shortcut buttons help speed things up while drawing. It’s a really solid option for beginners or anyone getting into digital art without wanting to spend a crazy amount of money. I’ve been able to make character art, shading practice, and stream-related designs with it already. Overall, definitely worth it if you want an affordable tablet that still performs well.

Extremely good purchase for beginners and/or the budget conscious
I cannot recommend this tablet enough. It is at a very good price for beginners and/or those who are budget conscious. The software for the tablet is very simple and easy to understand, plus it gives you control over what buttons do what in selected programs/games. I've mainly only used it for Krita, but it works well for older PC games like Rollercoaster Tycoon. I've used this since early June and the pen tip has only just started to wear down. I would also recommend getting an artist's glove for this as well, since it lets your hand glide across the surface. The tablet is very light and smooth, but the little grips on the bottom makes it also not move around. One very minor gripe is the connection type. It is type Micro B which limits the direction of the cord. It is very minor in the grand scheme of things, I just wish it was type C for the reversibility.

Poor software limits this tablet
This is my first experience with digital drawing tablets. The hardware itself seems very good, especially for the cheap price. However, the software is the limiting factor. First, the software must be open ALL THE TIME for the customizations to work. The settings don't get saved to the device itself. So instead, you need to have this app open and taking up resources constantly. And if you have multiple devices, the settings must be changed on each one. Second, the ability to save keystrokes is poor. It is limited to two key presses at a time. One of the programs I use utilizes 3 button combos (such as Alt+X+1), but this tablet cannot save it. I reached out to their support, and they told me I had to assign it to two separate buttons: one button Alt+X, and then another button with 1. And then physically press two buttons at a time to activate it. Which is somewhat ridiculous.

After some surface area customization, this tablet is a great tool!!!
I have wanted a pen tablet for years (decades?), but have never worked up the courage or money to try a brand like Wacom. This was the perfect gateway device and the price was a steal for what it’s provided. Most of my work is either in video editing (Davinci Resolve, After Effects, Final Cut Pro) or Photoshop and the Huion Inspiroy H950P has worked wonders for the latter. I had started to develop mouse arm, so this was a welcomed relief. Out of the box, the tablet was easy to setup, but immediately, I needed to adjust the dimensions/screen size for the tablet, since the pen worked all the way to the edges, not allowing for any space to test my hand. It takes some time to acclimate to the way a pen tablet represents your entire screen, especially having used mouses, trackpads, and track balls for decades (which require you to reset your physical hand placement when you’ve moved too far), but with the borders wrangled in a bit, this tablet is amazing and has increased workflow. I don’t use the shortcut buttons as often as I should, since I still like the heavier tactile feeling of my laptop’s keyboard, but the ability to customize each button to pretty much any command you need is useful. I would have preferred a USB-C plug instead of micro USB, since micro USB plugs loosen over time, but that’s a small complaint for what is a very useful, affordable tablet. I highly recommend it at this time…!

Excelente y a buen precio.

Good, compact, beginner tablet!
Really great, well-functioning on the go tablet! I had little problems setting it up and installing the relevant drivers. Drawing was generally pretty easy from the get-go since the tablet automatically calibrates to the resolution of your display monitor. Pressure sensitivity was definitely evident and well adjusted to the amount of pressure I placed on the drawing tablet. Pen does not need batteries or recharging and comes with a ton of extra nibs, which is a bonus! Express keys are responsive and easy to customise. Overall, this is a good beginner tablet to buy and will work particularly well as a mobile accessory for people working on laptops.
