Remember these are just seeds. They ARE NOT the seeds in the pods for the hydro. planter.
I can't give an opinion on this product because it was a gift. I can say they were delivered quickly before they were expected. I was disappointed bc I misread, or thought the seeds would come in the pods so all I had to do was "plant" them in water. Knowing they are just glorified seeds...I WOULD NOT of purchase such expensive seeds. I thought the pod seed things, while expensive was worth it considering the hassle of getting soil, etc and planting them. However, since they were just seeds. I 'd wish I had gone to someplace like Rural King and purchased seeds. I certainly would of been cheaper!!!!!!!

Almost great
To start off, I have not tried planting the Kale seeds yet as I'm not honestly a fan of Kale. Now, I have planted the other four seed types, multiple ways and plenty of seeds. Here are my findings so far.The Romaine has about a 90% germination rate, grows quickly and with no effort in my Kratky setup - and tastes absolutely wonderful. I love it.The Buttercrunch is nearly that high of a germination rate, grows quickly at first but slows a bit compared to the Romaine and is an absolute favorite of mine on burgers. The Tatsoi is getting around a 40-50% germination rate and I've had varied results in its growing cycle so far. The successes have all tasted as expected, though I'm not sure I'm really a fan in general of the plant. Now for the Lettuce. I have yet to have a single seed germinate. Not one. I have never had a pack of seeds have a 100% failure rate before in my life - unless they were very very old seeds that were not stored properly. I'm at a loss as to why, but because of that and the iffy Tatsoi germination rate I'm not feeling like anything more than 3 stars is deserved for this "set" of seeds as a whole.I think I'll be sticking to purchasing the single seed packs instead of wasting money on a variety pack.
