A pleasant surprise
I actually didn't buy these for a car at all. I have a ZT Lunchbox 200watt guitar amplifier. The speaker blew and its an odd size and I couldn't find a replacement so I thought I'd give these a try. Fits like a glove and sounds fine - I guess in theory the frequency response is wrong but it sounds fine and great value; and I have a spare if it blows again as a bonus. Full marks so if you're looking for a 6.5 inch speaker for musical applications give them a try. Next day delivery worked too.

Great sound quality
I bought these to replace the front speakers in my 1995 Citroen XM.Sound quality is great, not boomy but with nice crisp bass and mid range. The car already has a very good standard speaker set up with mid and tweaters but Citroen used coated paper based cones with foam rubber in the bass speakers in the doors which had rotted so decided to replace them with these quality units and was very happy with the results. Just make sure the original speaker grills still fit over the tweater guide as clearance can be tight on the Citroen XM.Will fit many makes of car that use this size of speaker.

Not as good as you would think
I bought these to replace the moth eaten, decayed OEM speakers in my peugeot 306.I have to say, yes, these were cheap to others and promised a good replacement.BUT these did not transform the sound as I had hoped. a bit disappointed really.I did install sound insulation and made sure there were no air gaps to improve bass response, butit just sounds a bit flat really and when pushing the sound up it just sounds a bit buzzy and distorted compared to the old OEM speakers, which was surprising because they were well and truly rotten!I'm only giving this 3 stars as I expected better performance, but for the price and the customer service, its a good contender.Having said that, they're a cost efficient way of putting new speakers in your car and they seem much better quality than the other low cost manufacturers.Pros:Ordering from Amazon was fast and simplePackage delivered on time.Well packaged, full installation instructions on their website.Good weight, quality feelFits 306 perfectly.Cons:Not as good as original OEM Peugeot speakerat medium volume bit buzzy and clarity not really there

lovely sound, clean and punchy
just fitted these to upgrade the standard paper cone speakers....not having a big budget, I was looking for a bargain...I struck gold!the vocals of my favorite songs (rock and metal) sound clear, clean and punchy, they handle bass very well, and the directional tweeter points the highs where they should be....very pleased and a great price.

Waste of time and money
Test installed these in my Ford Mondeo 2008, they sounded worse than the stock premium units, very dissapointed.ni have installed my own audio upgrades for years and i was expecting a vast upgrade from what i read on the bassface website about there products, only to be met with a worse quality low end bass from the doors, even with the bass turned down to 0 they were no where the same as the original speakers. I was concidering buying an active subwoofer next from them but i now have doubts.
