196in C Wire Adapter Thermostat, 24 Volt Transformer,Compatible with Ecobee, Nest and Honeywell Smart WiFi Thermostat, Ring Nest Hello Skybell August Doorbell (196 inch)

My home is 83 years old and didn’t have any existing wiring for my doorbell and hardwiring it and running the line would either be next to impossible because of how the house is constructed or super expensive. I absolutely hate having to take the doorbell down charge the battery and then put it back up. This was the perfect solution for that. I could have easily installed it myself after watching some videos on YouTube university but I already had an electrician out doing some other work so I had them do it. It took 15 minutes start to finish. They took the face plates off of my electrical outlet and light switches drilled a tiny hole through the drywall next to socket boxes in the wall. Then ran the wire up through the wall and then made another tiny hole on the outside of my house next to the door frame so that the wire would attach to the video door bell. They connected it to the door bell mounted it left the slack inside the wall incase I wanted to use it for a chime later reattached the face plates and plugged it in. Now I never have to change the batteries again.

I use this transformer to operate a ring doorbell camera! Works great!

Bought this along with the one from Google. The little extra goes a long way. The one from Google came with a rubber stopper to keep the air outside and prevent pests intusuon, this one did not. The one from Google also came with routing nails to help keep the cords out of sight. Again, this one did not. It does the job for about 7 bucks less than other options.

Used it for nest doorbell in a manufactured home since it did not have an existing doorbell. Drilled small hole in outlet plate and ran cable through the wall to hide cable. Works great. Bought it a second time for another home.

Maybe a white cable would be a better choice if its going up walls. But yup its working fine.Have to do a power usage scan as it may be resonsible for 30w i cant account for...just remembered this was plugged in there. If it is, thats massively inefficient and i'ill replace it.Only other thing plugged in was a fully charged cyberpower ups. Will check and update.
