I bought these a few months ago but today i got my watercolour pencils out and then used these pens to blend instead of water. They worked great. I was very surprised as i thought these were for ordinary colouring pencils. I wish i could have posted a side by side with these verses a water pen but could not. My suggestion is give it a go. Another great thing i have found playing today is that it doesn't matter if you use Distress ink pads these pens don't make the ink merge into the image as water does and you therefore don't have to wait till the ink dries in the hope that when it does then you don't touch the line to make them run again. I will be ordering another set soon. I don't want to order too soon as i have read comments that they dry out quick. Mine are still wet I store them on their side. I am not a professional but love the way these have turned out today. Enjoy.

The media could not be loaded. It's the first time I've bought a blender pen for my coloured pencils (I'm using FC Polychromos). These pens come in two sizes 2mm (in the video) and 4mm (not a brush pen).It's really easy to blend with them, it's nice and even and colours are vivid. They're really good value for money and I'm really happy with them

They do seem to help with blending coloured pencil,so I bought some more.

They do the job, but may get dirty with previously blended colours, so I wouldn't recommend it for someone who is planning to blend areas in contrast colours. Also, they smell rather awful. I think I prefer the pencil blender.

Does what it says with vigour - BUT they are alcohol markers that are used for colour pencils. I bought a second set in case I run out because their blending capabilities are great. Good nibs, fine and thick and their tops click well into place. A decent derwent package as expected.

Very pleased with these, they work just has they should and are easy to use, I don’t know how long they will last but at this price I feel they are very good value for money.I recommend these for anyone using coloured pencils.

I've used this type of blending pen many times over the years and more for colour-pencil work than graphite. There are two different size nibs, one for general blending and one for more detailed work. They give a smoothness and stop the pencil strokes from dominating. If you sue them just now and again they last a while, but if you want to work a whole picture they would soon run out. I think it's best to work on your drawing and shading technique rather than relying solely on these blenders. A lighter touch with the pencil is far better and then use these now and again.Useful to have and can be used in conjunction with the other Derwent drawing aids and accessories.
