These are expensive. There. I have said it.But.....If you have ever worked remotely trying to fix a 4x4 quad in the middle of a forest using cheap tools - rounding the nuts then you will always by top end spanners - and these are up there with Bacho and dare I say it - snap on. They are fantastic quality and I bought a spare 13mm to go in the set as I seem to encounter this size most in my working day. I am not a professional but it really is an investment if you buy good tools - and these in my opinion are the best.

I bought these to replace a set of venerable old ratchet spanners. So far my experience is positive. They come in a textile tool roll with a pocket for each spanner which keeps them separate, easy to find, and so they don't touch each other in transit/storage. The tools themselves are very nicely balanced, and are a good shape to grip comfortably. The "nut holder" function works well, and is a great idea. The ratchets have a very positive "click" and don't slip.I'm not a professional user, so don't use these every day, and so far I'm very pleased with them. The only downside is the slightly eye-watering price, but here I think you get what you pay for, and Amazon's pricing was very keen.

Do WERA really need a review? Not much I can say that others can't. I guess it all boils down to price and what you can get the stuff for. The actual products from WERA are legendary, expensive but legendary. I can vouch for that. My only caution is you will get hooked on them and they are an expensive (worth it IMHO) hobby and great tool. In all the years I have used their bit's for instance, I have never broken or rounded one, ever. I know not this tool, just wanted to give an overview. Also the customer service is second to none. Great company, great product and 'out of the box' thinkers. Thumbs up from me.

For light general work it is fine, I've had mine now for nearly a year now and they have there uses, but not for everything. I strip and build/maintain industrial gas engines, so I use them a lot. The ratchet end is fine, no probs there. However the open end is the problem, for normal spanner work they are not great, the nuts slip in the open end or they twist and jam on the grippy sides, not ideal. I have gone back to a normal open end spanner now and only use the wera open end if I have to hold the nut in a difficult position, without the nut falling out, that is what the open end does fantastically, holding a nut downwards at an angle it's is brilliant. The black metal plate for the nut in normal use has now bent out of shape, because it grips and won't let go and I could not get the spanner off constantly.So for everyday use:industrial use: ratchet - perfect, open end - for difficult situations only for nut holding ability - open end normal use get another normal spanner.DIY/home use: good all round combination spanner

Expensive but quality. You don't buy these too use but to show off.

Wera are the best designed and best quality by far. The tooth pattern lets me get in to tight space that other wrenches just can't. They are expensive for sure, but as with all tools - if you make your living from them, get the best.
