Owl Decoys to Scare Birds Squirrels Away, 360 Rotating Head Activated

This is a simple bird deterrent, but so far it seems to do its job. The owl looks reasonably realistic from a distance, and the rotating head adds enough movement that it doesn't just look like a plastic statue sitting in the same position all day. It's lightweight, so you'll definitely want to secure it properly if you live somewhere windy, but once positioned it works well around the yard or garden. The detailing is actually pretty good for what it is, too. Obviously birds and squirrels can eventually get used to stationary deterrents, so I plan on moving it around occasionally. Overall though, it's a clever, inexpensive way to discourage unwanted visitors without hurting anything.

This product is amazing! Installed on second floor balcony. Lifelike and actually keeps away the pigeons. A very satisfied customer!

The owl looked fairly realistic. The head movement was good but does require a strong wind otherwise it doesn't move that much. It may work for rabbits or other pests but didn't work for ducks on a pond. They came right up next to it. The company/seller was responsive and provided excellent customer service so hence 4 stars vs 3.

works great ! it's keeping the large birds of prey away from our small puppy !!!!!

Update: The owl and snakes are not working at all. I think maybe I felt like they were working last year, but actually by June 6th when I ordered the owl, the baby birds were already close to being out of the nest and that's why I felt like there was an improvement. But here I am, May 21st and it seems worse than ever. 20+ a day landing in or around the pool. This will continue as the momma birds removes the poop to keep the nest clean and my pool just seems like their perfect place to deposit them. I've read they do it bc it disperses the waist more efficiently and keeps predators from finding the nest. Smart on the birds, but I hate them. Starting back at square one! Original from June '23. Last year, I made the mistake of buying a stationary owl, which didn't deter the birds effectively. This time, I opted for the owl with a moving head, and it has made all the difference. Alongside the owl, I strategically placed three lifelike fake snakes in the area. I believe it's the combination of these deterrents that has helped us regain control over our pool patio and skimmer, without being overrun by bird droppings! If you're seeking an effective and aesthetic way to protect your pool from bird-related issues, I highly recommend the owl with a moving head and incorporating fake snakes into your defense strategy. Say goodbye to unsightly messes and hello to a worry-free pool experience!

If you need it for squirrels, don't even bother. The squirrels aren't phased by it at all.

I recently purchased the Owl Decoy Bird Scarer online, and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed! Living in an area where pesky pigeons seem to think my roof is their exclusive hangout spot, I was desperately in need of an effective deterrent. Enter the Owl Decoy. But this isn't just any standard bird scarer; its ace up the sleeve (or should I say, its turn of the head?) is the rotating feature. This might seem like a simple addition, but it makes all the difference. Pigeons aren't the brightest bulbs in the aviary, but they're no dummies either. The static decoys did little to fool them after their initial inspection. However, with the rotating head feature of this Owl Decoy, it truly mimics the lifelike movements of a real predatory bird. Every time they think they've got it figured out, a slight shift of its head sends them flapping away in a panic! What I particularly love is that it doesn't just scare off the pigeons – it genuinely convinces them to find a less "predatory" location. The realism of the decoy, amplified by that ingenious rotating head, has turned my roof from pigeon party central to a serene, bird-free zone. In summary, if pigeons have turned your roof into their playground and you're at your wit's end, the Owl Decoy Bird Scarer with its rotating head is your answer. Not only is it functional, but it's also an online purchase I don't regret one bit. Peaceful mornings have returned, all thanks to this watchful owl!

It's perfect size and has been working to keep the birds from flying into our back porch windows. It's a good size, and made well, it's stable and easy to assemble, weather resistant.
