Aunt Jackie's Flaxseed Recipes Don't Shrink Elongating Hair Curling Gel for Natural Curls, Coils and Waves, Helps Prevent Dryness and Flaking, 15 oz

Y’all. I cut off all my hair in July of this year, and I haven’t worn it out because I felt self conscious about it being “too short”. I’m not sure how long my hair is, maybe a little more than 3 inches? But now I feel more comfortable wearing it as a TWA. I’m not sure my hair type, I know it’s type 4 and VERY dry most of the time despite me moisturizing it daily. Yesterday, I used Ms Jessie’s Pillow Soft curl gel and it was good for elongation but not curl definition. Today I got this and opened it immediately. I was surprised it has a sweet scent, not sure what it smells like but it’s a pleasant smell. Gel is kind of sticky, but it made it easy to finger coil my hair in 10 minutes mostly focusing on the front. I used my diffuser to dry my hair about 90% dry and y’all can see the result. You see these coils popping??? I’m very satisfied with this product! My hair looks shiny and moisturized, and not crunchy like my usual fav gel (olive oil eco styler) leaves my hair. My hair shrinks a lot even though I’ve bleached and colored it, but I won’t complain about that because that means it’s healthy right? First two pics are with the gel and last pic is from this morning after I used ms Jessie's. My hair did shrink with this product but I don’t care because my curls look luscious. Update a month later: The curls look even better and didn’t shrink as much when I used it on wet hair. I have fine, high density hair and as you can see in the pink shirt my hair looks too cute!! If it shrinks too much on wet hair, it works even better (imo) on dry hair! Update 4 months later: my hair is pink and a little bit longer now where I’m swimming with the fishies. You can see where I used the gel and where I was lazy— I mostly focused on the front and the hairs at my nape. I love this gel, but now that my hair is longer it does feel more crunchy to me now so I usually wash it out at the days end. Still love it tho.

I really love Aunt Jackie’s Flaxseed Elongating Gel! I have 3C hair, and it’s not always easy finding a gel that gives me definition without making my curls feel stiff or crunchy. This gel gives my curls a nice hold, helps with frizz, and keeps my hair feeling soft. I also love that it works really well with my leave-ins and doesn’t leave that weird residue or flakes behind. It layers nicely with my other products, which is a huge plus because some gels just don’t mix well. I love that it helps stretch my curls while still keeping my natural curl pattern. My wash-and-go looks good for days, and my hair doesn’t feel dry or weighed down. This has definitely become one of my go-to products for my curls. A little goes a long way, and I would definitely recommend it!

I used with Coils and CurlS Hydration leave in 1x and 1x without. Both work well, the combo leaves it hanging more (less shrinkage) and the curls look better longer than just this solo. Together, after sleeping on it and 3 or 4 days, the curls looked good. Solo, it flattened in spots after 1 night of sleep. Definitely my length is more clear with these products. It leaves a very light weight, soft and bouncy effect. I think my curls are considered 3c so they are naturally coiled. Not crispy, not frizzy, very bouncy. I guess the biggest difference between this combo and other products I’ve used is the light weight bounciness. Also, the next time I wet/detangled my hair (about 1-2x per week) it detangled easier than usual. For me, i think the thing to consider is if your hair is shorter the even with the Don’t Shrink, it might be kinda flyaway.

This hair gel makes my hair so curly and frizz free. 🥰 it doesn’t shrink my hair and it gives so much volume. It makes my hair look shiny and it holds my curls well and makes it hold moisture. I would definitely purchase again and it’s so reasonable based on the price.

This product did live up to the positive reviews. It helps you create juicy define volumized curls without drying out the hair. A little goes a long way. Using oil machine or oil base finishing spray to lock in extra moisture. This works amazing for Authentic tightly coiled hair types. Great price point. It does not flake, is not greasy nor does it cause scalp irritation.

I have viewed different ways of how to use this product on youtube and the internet before purchasing on Amazon. I chose to try it out figuring this product would be a littler nicer/kinder on my naturally wavy, curly, fine/thin hair without the use of stiffening products designed to hold a hair style in place. This is a huge container of product. It does not have a strong fragrance. I would describe it as having a semi-thick in consistency. Meaning it is not too thin nor too thick. Once applied to the hair it does not leave a sticky residue. There was a slight ‘holding/stiffening’ of the hair- not crunchy or hard-hair still moved naturally. The curls did remain elongated as opposed to shriveled up and tight. There was white residue on the comb and brush the next day after grooming. So, I feel like this is a product that definitely should be rinsed/washed out of the hair. It washes out with ease. In my opinion, if you have fine/thin hair as I have, the amount of product in this container will last a long time as you do not need a lot of product to produce the desired amount of curls. I would recommend watching some tutorials and videos on this product to get an idea of what to expect from the finished hairstyle. Also, I found this product to slightly dry my hair out and cause frizz. I have played around with the application of this product on my hair. I found it seems to work the best on soaking wet hair with a cream based leave in conditioner as opposed to towel dried or completely dry hair. The style did not carry over onto day 2. So, I guess if you are better than I am with hair styling, you may be able to use this product and carry the style for a few days rather than only one day. Overall, this product does in fact work. The curls I experienced did remain elongated and looked hydrated and healthy. Some may simply see slightly more defined waves and curls while others may see no difference at all. Personally, I was not impressed with the results on my hair. To me, my hair looked the same with or without this product. I would recommend buying this product if you want to try it out and are really looking for some curls. I am not disappointed in purchasing this product because I understand, everything is not for everyone. I will not purchase this product in the future for use on my own hair as I do not feel my hair responds well to products like this [I have also tried many other products designed to ‘make your hair curly’]. I am not sure how this product would fair on thick or straight hair. All I can say is, try it for yourself.

I love this gel. Its so moisturizing and does not dry my hair. The price is amazing. The ingredients makes your hair so soft. Easy to use and will straighten those curls. Not eliminate them but elongate them. I purchase this product a few times a year.

I love Aunt Jackie's products and is very lucky to find out a shop who sell to japan. My hair is 3b type i like it how fix in my hair no let it too crunchy and can be using mix with hair cream or then air cream. Works so good in hair.
