Kitchen Sink Mixer Taps 1 Hole Monobloc Dual Lever Chrome Sink Tap

We bought this kitchen mixer tap as a replacement for our old one. The video of how to install it was extremely helpful, as we have no plumbing experience. All went well and the tap is fully operational. I would highly recommend this tap for its durability and affordable price.

Just what we needed to replace our leaking, squealing tap. These are double the price in B&Q

Delivered on time. Usual Amazon cardboard packaging - the tap was in a soft fabric bag to protect it from the metal hoses. Fitting instructions were adequate. I was able to fit it myself, though would recommend viewing 'how to replace a mixer tap' on Youtube if you've not done it before. The tap has the more modern style of under sink attachment which will make any maintenance/replacement easier in future (but you do need a large adjustable spanner). Our old tap had the older type of fitting and was a bit of a devil to remove. Before you order, there are three things you should know: 1) The hoses supplied are quite long (approx. 25cm), so check the distance between the stop valve on each of the hot and cold supplies (to which the lower end of the hoses will be screwed) and the underside of the sink where the tap will attach before you order. If it's much shorter than 25cm contact the seller before ordering and ask for a shorter hose as it's important not to kink, twist or subject the hoses to tight bends in order to avoid leaks. 2) As other reviewers have noted, the tap comes with the red and blue hot/cold identifiers the wrong way round for the British market (which requires hot on the left, and will be the way your hot and cold supplies are arranged). This will either bother you or not. You can simply turn the tap round, in which case the levers will project forward in the closed position, or swap the levers over, which will require an allen key (not supplied). 3) The documentation that came with the tap was branded 'Hapilife' which is also listed on Amazon at a different price. The Funime brand was not mentioned. Whether the taps are the same or not is impossible to tell. I think Amazon should take steps to remove the confusion (I'm docking a star for this). As for the tap itself, it's performing fine so far (1 week). The spout feels just a bit looser than the old one, but no signs of leakage. My wife is very pleased, which is the main consideration! I'll update this review should any problems emerge later.
