Great delivery time the Vstarcam is so simple to set up, just plug and play. I use these cameras indoors and the picture from them is superb, I use on windows desktop with the Vstarcam windows software which is pretty straight forward and easy to use once downloaded, I find this software better than the eye 4 software that is recommended and they are easily set up to view from outside the house on an Android phone with all the features still available such as alarm,still picture taking,video and tilt and turn. The app I use on the Android phone and tablet is also the Vstarcam app not the eye 4 app, I have 4 of these cameras in use 24 hrs a day. On the windows software you can set how long you want to keep the recording for I have it set to 7 days which is recorded to the harddrive of your pc plus you can select how long you want to record in segments which I have set at 1 hour segments which show time and date so therefore make it a lot easier to find if you know what time of recording you are looking for but you can also record to micro SD card if you prefer. When you go to camera parameters in settings then video there are choices of what resolution and frame rate you want the cameras to work at. I have 2 camera's on ethernet cable and 2 on WiFi and I find there is no difference at all-in performance, you can also buy waterproof housing for these cameras if you want to use out doors so if you are looking for an IP cam that is is a one step set up with excellent performance I would recommend Vstarcam as I have had 1 for 4 years that looks down on my front door through an open window so pretty much has been open to all weather elements and is still going strong.

Does what is says but if you want to use this with other software (not Eye4) or use it as a replacement for the equivalent Foscam/Tenvis type you will have a challenge. Doesn't seem any way to change IP address or port etc.

I use this indoors to monitor cars on the drive outside. Needed to turn the night vision off to eradicate reflection from the inside window glass. Very good image quality helped by streetlight illumination. Seems to record 15 mins of video continuously to the additional memory card but records a separate piece if motion is detected while sending an alert to phone. All in all perfect for what I wanted. Have bought a second for the rear of the house.

Got this a replacement for a two year one that I broke (knocked it on the floor, and broke the power connector off the board). Seems very similar although different placement of the SD card. It is supplied with a non UK plug though so you cannot use it. Luckily I had the old power adapter but had to take it apart and re-solder owing to different connections.The camera itself functions very well for the price paid (£40) and the previous one was working wellConnecting it to a WiFi network is not easy. Once it is done you can forget about it, but you need to be in a near silent room as it syncs the WiFi settings via the app. It makes some sounds like a fax machine, but the app has to be activated at exactly the right time. Took me about 20 mins of continuous restarts and resets until I finally got it connected.Once connected though it works as intended, so percevere. Oh and buy a two pin to UK plug converter at the same time

Poor instructions.

Supplied with a 2 pin European plug. Had to order a converter, which was annoying. Then the WiFi connection wouldn't work, and I've set up 4 of these cameras before, so I know this one was faulty. I've returned it. Best avoided.

Great camera

Camera is great but doesn't come with UK plug which would have been handy in the description, ordered before and came with a UK plug.
