I have just received my little remote today. Set it up immediately and this was easy and I immediately started taking pictures with my remote. I love this item. I hope it keeps performing as well as it has been doing on its first try out at home. Will make life easier for me as I am not that steady but love taking photographs. For the price I think this product is marvellous. Well worth a buy.

i'm going to order one of these as I thought it is only a remote control after all and the Pentax original is 5 times the price. If it goes wrong I'll bin it. £5 you can't go too wrong can you? I'll let you know.Update to my first review and I can say this item works fine and for the little amount I will use it, it will be perfect. It comes with a plastic insert between battery and contact and I would suggest if you do not intend to use it much leave this in place and remove it when necessary. Good value.

Simple and effective, setup was easy and does as advertised.Camera is pentax ks1 and was unable to use phone apps so I purchased this and did the job.Range was adequate and coupled with 12 second delay you could click and get 130m away if you were as fast as Usain Bolt, which I am not.Small and light enough to fit in any bag or pocket.

I do not recommend this product if you plan to make serious use of it.When I received the remote, the top film was peeled off. I had to glue it back, but first had a look at the cheap circuit board inside.It works fine so I will keep it but I do have concerns about its durability.

first off, maybe i got a defective unit or my camera receiver is poor quality this remote does not work at all in sunlight (which i had a suspicion of) and works about 1/50 of the time in the shade, and even so, I was always within 20cm of the camera receiver.Indoors, I can probably get around 1m at max but most of the time there is no shutter release, i have to press the button around 10 times to actually get a shutter.the button on the remote is not clicky and is very soft, so you dont really know when you have pressed it either.maybe i just got a bad unit?

Came on time and well packaged. Removed the battery protective plastic, turned IR on for the camera and it works. Field of angle you have to get by trial and error, distance is fine in a typical room but may be an issue in a large hall. Have not yet tried it outside. Happy customer. I will keep the plastic battery film when in storage (in my bag) as otherwise it is easy to become on (there is no separate on/off switch.

Wow, I ordered this on a Sunday and it was here by Friday of that week under the standard free delivery option. The first thing that you need to know is that this device is tiny, you could easily fit two into a matchbox. It is also very slim and weights not much more than the battery alone, which is supplied fitted and with a current drain tab.Does it work?Yes, it works, exactly as described. Fire up your camera, in my case a Samsung GX20 ( for my American friends, this is identical to a Pentax K20D as it was a joint development project) then in the drive options you need to select your infra red remote option. On the GX20 this leads to a red led flashing on your camera body to tell you that you have enabled the remote shutter. You then line up your shot and either set up your focu point with a half press on the camera shutter release before stepping away and using the remote, or you can just go ahead and use the remote and the camera will focus and then take a shot.This is much faster than attaching a remote shutter release 'bulb' via the connection port in the camera connections area under the flap at the left hand side ( from the back).On the GX 20 you can also set up the drive option for remote infrared release after a 3 second delay which would mean that you could perhaps use the little device outside its usual range and then sprint into shot!!I have tested it indoors in my living room and it certainly works up to the length of my 25 foot lounge, and who has a 'bulb' cable that is any longer than this?Summary, it works just as advertised on a Samsung GX20 and I am very pleased.

Waht can I say? After owning a Pentax K100D for six years, and avery time I wanted to be in on a group shot I have been setting that blasted self-timer... talk about hit and miss! Anyway, this RIDICULOUSLY cheap remote just works perfectly. Set up the camera on tripod/table/wall, whatever, get everyone to say cheese (Including oneself) and press the button. Bingo. No more shots making yours truly look like a fugitive passing through! Worth it at twice the price.

Nothing exciting to report on this. It works with my Pentax K-7 just fine. It's small and very light. I didn't try a lot of distances yet, but seemed to work from 5 feet. The only downside is that you need to point it right at the IR sensor on the camera (but I don't think that would be much different from other IR remotes). In general, I'm happy.

Sólo le falta ser estanco, pero si se mete en una bolsita estanca funciona perfectamente, con lo que no es un problema. Lo uso con una Pentax WG3 GPS y funciona perfectamente
