Q: How much pepper does it hold?

It holds a good amount of pepper. This is designed to be a small pepper mill, and I use it at the lunch or dinner table because it is so convenient. I have other pepper mills for cooking, so I find myself not having to I’ll up the pepper grinds for many months. I hope this helps you somewhat. I had this brand many years ago, and this is a good quality.

Q: Does this come with the gold “ball” top or silver “flat” top?

The one I ordered and use all the time came with the silver flat top

Q: does this come with pepper inside it.....? mine did, wondering why?

Mine did not come with peppercorns inside. It was clean and carefully packaged. You should contact Peuguot.
