Nicky Epstein Enchanted Knits for Dolls: 25 Mystical, Magical Costumes for 18-Inch Dolls

I bought the book to make a Sleeping Beauty costume for a doll to adorn a Christmas tree with a Sleeping Beauty theme. The costume had to be adjusted to fit the doll on the tree but with the help of an experienced knitter this was readily accomplished. I'm looking forward to making more of the outfits over the coming months.

Lovely patterns shame it’s in American yarn weights so finding it tricky to adapt to

I loved the ideas and designs for my grand daughters doll I did find it a bit difficult to get gauge because they are all american yarns. I will do some more now I have the idea.

Nice book, but unfortunately because it is American, it is difficult to buy the correct yarn in U.K. I managed to get some online, and some equivalent yarns and choosing which outfits to make ordered the yarn. For the first dress I made, I was able to buy the correct yarn, but the quantity stated was incorrect and there was insufficient to make the skirt the right size, never mind a bodice and long sleeves. The second dress ( the angel outfit) was going the same way when it came to quantity of yarn so I had to adapt the dress to fit the quantity of yarn. I am now sceptical about making the other outfits.

Ich habe diesen Artikel gewählt, weil mir auch schon andere Nicky-Epstein-Bücher gut gefallen haben. Sie schreibt gut verständliche Anleitungen. Bisher war es nicht schwer, ihre Anleitungen nachzuarbeiten.

I had the basic book from Nicky and then saw this one and fell in love. I had done some of the more basic pieces from the first book and loved the idea of having something special for her doll. She was thrilled!!

How does she do this! Beautiful patterns with easy to follow instructions. I prefer the elegance of a knitted outfit, coat or dress especially as it is shown in these doll clothes. She has come out with another great book.
