I have given only four stars for ease of use only because of connection. I had issues on my android connecting but I used my iPhone (as I have one for work but you could use an iPad if you have one) and it connected straight away, much simpler. Once connected on iOS I went back on the app on my android and it asked if I wanted to add new lights from my cloud, I did this and they were added no problem.App is great, no connection issues, can operate from home or away (and they work as I can from my.home cameras). These are not as pretty as the mini ones which are smaller and neater and look less obvious but it depends what you want as in the ceiling lights I don't think it matters as much and these are brighter, although the minis are bright too! You can group the lights to be controlled together or control them individually, all done from the app which is really easy to use. You can play about with themes and effects. I think they're great for security or when you're out and it gets dark you can come home to your lights on. I've got mine set to go off as I drive away from the house and come back on as I arrive. I can turn them off with my phone and change the colours but I need to invest more time in this as I can't yet control individual lights with my voice but I know it can be done! I was a bit unsure about these as I like tech but nothing complicated but they're easy to use, really fun and very useful. Takes a bit of time to get used to not switching the light switches and using your phone instead but you can get add on switches if you'd rather have them. Also a bit awkward when you have guests as they can't control the lights unless they download the app! I started with one bulb and a week later I had them in every light in my house that I could, very addictive!

The LifX bulbs are a little on the pricey side, however they are nice and bright and work well with Echo and Google Home.The bulbs themselves are longer than standard bulbs and of course the heads themselves are wider, so do check your sizing before you buy.I have both Philips Hue bulbs and Lifx. The hue bulbs react faster to changes than Lifx and the control + App for hue is a lot more friendly. However the Lifx app does have a few quirky benefits over hue. If the App was better for Lifx I would recommend more.The primary benefit of the Lifx bulbs is the brightness. This function way outstrips the Hue. hue bulbs are around 6watts v Lifx being around 11watts. A clear difference as you can see.Selecting the colour is much easier with Hue, Lifx is quite clunky, but this is really App interface design.When you can get Lifx at a reduced price it makes it a more appealing proposition. Hue bulbs aren’t cheap either, but getting good prices and packs are normally easier.Would like to see some ‘buttons’ for Lifx like you get with Hue, but nothing yet, so you have app or voice, unless you invest in Flic.

Bought this for the bedroom light so I can turn the main light off while in bed, via echo dot/ phone. Setup was easy (BT home hub), using the android app for Lifx, followed by the Alexa app. Alexa can turn the light on/off, dim the light, and change the colour by setting up scenes and getting her to activate the relevant scene.The bulb is very bright when on full, colours are vibrant.Very impressed with the bulb, will buy more for other rooms.EDIT. I now have 4 more bulbs installed, this time in a living room group, have them set to come on a timer related to sunset times. This is a great replacement for my timer switches. This group of lights currently come on 30 mins before sunset, fading up from zero over 15 mins. This alone will save me electricity as it self adjusts based on sunset, where in the past i only changed the timers a couple of times a year when the clocks changed, meaning in the middle of summer they were coming on unnecessarily. After a month of use with alexa and the app i've not had any problems with the bulbs.

I've been using this for around 8 months now and I don't know how I lived without it. Im incredibly fussy with light and always had multiple light sources depending on what I was doing. This has removed the need for any other lights in my bedroom. It's not cheap, but the fact that I wake up easier and sleep better is more than paid itself off.I read lots of reviews around WiFi light bulbs and it all came down to lifx or Philips hue, and I decided on lifx. I can't remember why exactly, mostly around reviews and hue needing a home hub at the time, so more cost.Initially it was awkward. Setup took an hour and wasn't very slick. It dropped in and out of use for the first few hours and it reminded me of all the poor reviews mentioning that.But the next day it worked, and it's worked perfectly every day since.Making your light strobe blue is fun for a few hours but the novelty wears off, the real utility is in having it hooked up to Google home and planned in with your routine.1. 20-30 minutes before my alarm goes off the light starts coming on. In the middle of winter, especially if you're up early, this is bliss. Because the bulb is led and you can set the hue, you wake up to a room filled with light. No more waking up in the dark and having to reach around for the switch and flick the lamp on which messes with your eyes. Either that or you have a yellow lamp which fills the room with weak light, i always found it was too much or not enough.2. When I get home I say 'okay Google turn the light in' and it's on. It sounds lazy and you might think using a light switch is easy, but when you can turn your lights on and off without your hands, you will, every time.3. When I go to bed I ask Google to dim the lights and change the colour to incandescent. It's nicer to relax and read in.4. When I want to go tomorrow, I just ask Google to turn off the lamp.I haven't used a light switch in my room in months.The app could be improved, setup was awkward and some of the light presets are redundant. But it's great hardware and if you're willing to take the time to set it up how you want it, it's perfect.

Mi serviva una lampadina dimmerabile tramite app con varie sfumature di colore a antiriflesso visto che la seduta e quasi sotto il lampadario. Sono rimasto colpito positivamente. Luce ottima, intensa al punto giusto e poco fastidiosa all' occhio rispetto alle altre in commercio satinate opache. App del telefono che funziona a meraviglia con la possibilità di sbizzarrirsi in qualsiasi colore. Ampia gamma di set pre impostati per dare un tocco diverso al proprio soggiorno. Soddisfatissimo per rapporto qualità / prezzo.

The LIFX LED bulb is truly amazing! The colours will blow you away! At first, I wanted to get the LIFX LED Mini bulb for my lamp because the normal LIFX bulb can be quite bright and is ideally used for larger areas, but because it is on sale now and the price is the same as the LIFX LED Mini's, I had finally decided to get the normal bulb instead as I can use it not just on my lamp, but in larger areas as well if I ever need to. The good thing is that you can dim the bulb by tapping the brightness level through the LIFX app or voice command through Google Home or other compatible smart home devices. It is easy to set up, though (in my case) it may require some time and patience to connect it to Google Home or other compatible smart home devices but one you have gone through that stage, everything else are good to go and you can start enjoy the various colours it emits!

Cercavo una lampadina valida a livello di luminosità sia in tonalità normali che a colori,ho trovato ciò che cercavo..Molto luminosa sopratutto a colori,ho provato molte lampadine wifi ma non ci sono paragoni.Unica pecca il costo non sono lampadine economiche ma valgono anche molto.Installazione molto facile ed intuitiva se usate con l app lifx ci sono anche molti effetti utili(es. Effetto candela per una cena romantica o per una festa con la luce che va a tempo di musica)Ottimo prodotto lo consiglio.

Cette ampoule connectée est vraiment le nec plus ultra dans ce domaine. Les couleurs sont restituées avec une pureté incroyable. Après comparaison avec d'autres marques (philips hue, Xiaomi Yeelight), c'est absolument incomparable. Bien entendu, elles coutent plus cher, donc personnellement je ne la recommenderais que si vous comptez souvent utiliser les couleurs et pas juste pour la mettre en blanc.L'autre super avantage est qu'elle se connecte directement sur le wi-fi et ne nécessite pas de hub.Concernant l'application je ne l'utilise que très rarement car je contrôle l'ampoule via home-assistant (une platforme domotique open source), mais en gros l'application est fonctionnelle, simple et intuitive. Le petit plus est le widget qu'on peut installer directement sur l'écran d'accueil du gsm pour pouvoir allumer/éteindre la lampe d'une simple pression sans devoir ouvrir toute l'app.
