Excellent Optics and Stabilisation
Although expensive these are good value. Optical quality is very good with only minor colour fringing on very high contrast edges. Stabilisation is brilliant especially for people who don't have steady hands - allows you to see so much more detail. The only slight negative is the lack of object lens covers which I purchased separately. Used them for star planet and moon gazing but really bought them for a safari. They excelled at everything.

Excellent piece of kit
I tried a couple of pairs of binoculars and these are a fantastic set, which could be used for a variety of purposes. They are definitely as good as the more in depth reviews explain. I have to agree with others about the fact considering how much they cost, they dont even come with lens covers!

Amazing image quality and stabilisation
The image quality of these is amazing. Sharp and clear across the field of view. A little off axis aberration, but when you focus correctly it's very minor. Obviously the image stabilisation is the key feature and it delivers this fantastically well even when panning. It copes with even quite shaky hands. Canon seem wedded to having to hold the button down. Not a problem for me though. The FOV is excellent and the 12x magnification is perfect for bird and wildlife watching. The 36mm aperture is genuine and helps in lower light levels. There are no covers for the objective lenses, but they are recessed and well protected. You'd have to be pretty clumsy to damage them. At this price point you tend to be careful! Ergonomics are good. They are not too heavy and are comfortable to hold. The focus wheel is well placed and easy to use. Like all Canon binoculars, they have a rubberised casing, so be careful to keep your hands clean of sun cream and oil to avoid reactions. My advice is to watch the price as it fluctuates between over £800 and below £600.

Great stabilisation, OK optics, some missing features
The IS works great with my shaky hands, I had given up hope on birdwatching but it’s now back on the agenda. In that regard these are worth every penny to me. They feel solid and sturdy, I can focus fairly easily. The image quality is okay, maybe equivalent to a mid range pair of ‘normal’ binoculars. As per the specifications the close focus is 6 metres which is quite a long distance. And being 12x magnification the birds can be harder to find in trees especially. These are all compromises to get used to. There are some design issues that remind me that Canon mostly make cameras not binoculars… - Lack of any objective lens caps - Eyepiece caps are single loose plastic covers. Eye relief is changed by flapping down the rubber sleeve rather that the modern twist design. - Strap is clearly a camera strap, narrow with no padding and fixes to the bottom rather than the sides of the binoculars. - You have to hold down the IS button permanently to operate it, and find room/spare fingers to also hold the binoculars and use the focus wheel. - The case is nice quality but others have said it maybe should be a hard case due to the value and sensitivity of the product I bought a pair of 50mm objective caps and a 38.5 mm eyecup rain cover so was able to fix a couple of the issues for less than £20.

Good for shaky hands... but poor value for money I think
I bought these for home. We are fortunate enough to live in the West of Scotland with a sea view and lots of wildlife to look at out the windows. Not to mention really dark skies. Unfortunately as I get older I do struggle a bit to keep binoculars steady. So I thought I'd push the boat out and get some high power IS binoculars. What I will say is that the IS works well, but it's not the miraculous solution you'd think. It stabilises the image, but it doesn't lock it still (unless you already have very steady hands I guess). Nevertheless it really transforms the views of things like the moon and Jupiter with its moons. However the optical clarity is definitely poorer than the Vortex Diamondback HD 8x32s I've got which were about 1/3 the price. Sure, you'd expect them to have less clarity as they have 50% more power with only 12% more light gathering abilities. But even taking that into consideration I feel like they could be a lot better given the price. So I suppose it comes down to how much you need IS. I'm glad I have them because of my struggles keeping binoculars steady, but I don't feel they are very good value for money. So unless you really need IS I think you these should probably be avoided.

Canon 12x36 Binoculars
Excellent optics. Light enough for long walks. IS image detail for wildlife fantastic. At half the price of the newer model and bigger optics (36mm) .

Expensive, but absolute quality
These binoculars are just amazing. The image stabilizing is beyond amazing. The sharpness and clarity of the image is fantastic. Great for nature and stargazing. I have watched so many passing satellites and space detritus sailing across the dark skies these past few weeks. Choose any dark part of the sky, look through these and press the magic button and suddenly there's a wealth of light that you just can't see with the naked eye. Yes, it's a lot of money for a pair of bins, but for me they're worth every penny.

Once you have used these, you will not want to go back to normal binoculars
The image quality is excellent and the image stabilisation works as advertised. They are expensive, but once you have used them you will not want to go back. The only negative comment is that the eyepiece caps are cheap rubbish, and there are no lens caps for the main lenses. At this price point, Canon really needs to do better than this.

Canon Binocolo 12x36 IS III 12x stabilizzato
Grazie

Excellent! Adjustable for clear stable vision.
These binoculars are the best! The adjustments for clear vision & comfort are perfect. The most outstanding feature is the stabilizing button that keeps the view stable. We use these for bird watching & will be using them when we travel to Alaska and other trips.
