It depends on what you're eating and drinking. Like if you're eating a sandwich, it will transfer to the bread. If you eat with a utensil, it's not as bad. The lipstick does transfer to cups, however I've had days where I'm drinking coffee and water and I still need to scrub the lipstick off my lips at the end of the day.
