Do I need to use a cafetiere for this ground coffee.?

You can use filter method, machine or the one you put on top of a cup( I use this way).

Is it good in a perminant filter as most have dust that gets through it

The grind is omnigrind, so that it is between filter and cafetiere grind, so it's suitable for permanent filter.

Can I mix it straight with cold water like ground coffee from sainsbury/tesco?

Sorry, we’re a little confused. It’s roast and ground coffee, so you can add cold water to it if you like, but just to be clear, it’s not instant coffee.

Question for the Makers, is this coffee is lab verified; pesticide, heavy metal & mould toxin (mycotoxin) free?

With regards to mould toxins/mycotoxins, Brown Bear do not do checks on the coffee for this. Any coffee company that says they do mycotoxin checks would need to check every single bean, so we would question the idea of a guaranteed mycotoxin-free coffee brand. Other coffee brands that state they are mycotoxin-free may have a certificate of testing, but that would only be for 1 sample of coffee - not all coffee, so we would be cautious of such guarantees by other coffee brands. In fact, we would recommend you ask coffee brands that do offer mycotoxin-free coffees how they can guarantee this?
