It fits and it works
This was purchased to replace the original item which broke. Found a few helpful vieos online and did the job myself. It was a bit fiddly but no real dramas. Now we can get the washing out of the machine. Hurrah!

Genuine LG part
After 9yrs, the door handle made a snapping sound and I noticed a crack at one end.Found this replacement and was pleased to see that the seller had listed all the models for which the item was suitable for - mine being the F1447TD5.I can confirm the item is a genuine LG replacement part and is identical to the one I removed.Bit fiddly to replace, mainly due to the spring & pin and having to take the door off - took me around 30mins.

Excellent fit for my LG washing machine, took about 30 minutes to replace having never taken a washing machine door apart before. Would recommend taking a picture of old fitting before disassembly.

My washing machine is now usable again!
Poor design by LG. These always fail in same area due to a design weakness.However replacement are cheap and can be fitted in 15 minutes. All you need is a screwdriver.
