I am using this to monitor the heat in my bacon/salmon smoker. One probe gives me the heat in the smoke generator the second gives me the temperature in the smoking compartment. Works well does just what I wanted. I am unable to comment on use for taking the temperature of cooking food but I think this is a good bit of kit

Good little piece of kit.Tested probes in boiling water and ice to calibrate and both work really well.The remote function range is excellent and I can take it with me anywhere in my house while my bbq or oven is on.Great value piece of kit.

This is great when it works, it does what I need it to do, but it’s a little temperamental. I only need to use the basic features - put a probe inside my BBQ to tell me the internal temperature, and as a meat probe to ensure that the stuff I cook is done. When it works it does that very well. I haven’t tried the more advanced features because I haven’t needed to yet.The problem is that it doesn’t work all of the time. The receiver just doesn’t detect the signal from the base unit, and when that happens it’s useless.I’ve managed to solve the problem by using high capacity rechargeable batteries fresh out of the charger. That seems to be working so far, so I’ll stick with that.

I bought a more expensive dial thermometer about 3 years ago, it died after two years. This one is 1/4 the price of my old one and works just as well. Buy it.

Excellent product with a long range ideal for a smoker

It was a complete waste of money - I wish I’d read the reviews that said the bits can’t communicate with one another. There is no information online to troubleshoot.

This product has stopped working. I have changed all batteries with no help. How do I get a replacement.

I have had this hang at a temp ......... turned it off and on again, and found that it was not reading the true temp and things got over done.
