Strong without bulk
I have several of these, they've seen many miles of travel. They hold a lot of supplies without adding weight or bulk to a backpack. The zippers are sturdy and have held up well, still moving smoothly.

Awesome pencil case for artists.
This is a great little case for keeping a few sets of pencils, pens, or stick like accessories in for on the go or in the studio. When you first open it the bands are very tight, but all you need to do is put your finger under them and gently pull them up a little. They will then easily fit 4 pencils of standard size in each band section. I suggest holding up the band to slide in the first pencil tip first. From there slide in the pencil on the right, and any others between those all tip first.I have 3 graphite sets, a charcoal set, stick eraser, blending stump, and several other things in mine. I could also easily add a small color pencil set as well if I wanted. As I stated before it's perfect for on the go artists. My only complaint is the zippers button down, and are hard to release without yanking on them.

Wont hold 48pencils but Great for traveling
This seems to be what I need for on-the-go coloring...cute and compact. Fairly plain (in a good way) if you want to personalize with paint pens or sharpies. Although, I don't see how it's supposed to hold 48 pencils...36 is more realistic. It suits my needs for Crayola twisitable 30pack.

I love the case
From my middle schooler who received this case with colored pencils (not sold with this case but separately) for Christmas. I love the case, the way I can keep it close with the little clips and it won't open accidentally, I love the way it has two pockets to hold all the pens but it's not huge and bulky and the fact that I fit 4 pencils in one slot so I do not have to meticulously put each back in individual slots. From me: very well made and durable, color is exactly as the picture.

Inaccurate Description. Doesn't hold 48 pencils
I ordered this to hold my 48 set of Prismacolors, but it's clearly not going to hold all 48. It might hold 36 with 3 per slot. Aside from that, I'd love this case. I love the steel blue color. It has a denim feel which I really like. It appears to be well made and should last a long time...except I'm not keeping it. I need a case that will actually hold the pencils for which it was purchased.

Good buy
My son uses this to carry his drawing markers around. It's fairly sturdy given he has used it consistently and is not gentle with his belongings. It's a nice size for traveling/car rides and keeps a lot of stuff.

Very handy!
I have ordered a number of these pencil cases - they're great! They are handy to transport and comfortable to hold. Be advised that the elastic bands hold only three pencils comfortably, four if they are very thin. I use these for graphite, carbon, charcoal, watercolor and colored pencils. One side can be used for all your accessories - erasers, sharpeners, blenders, thin rulers, circle templates, brushes. The zippers have a snap to hold them in place. I like the elastic bands to keep the pencils organized without rolling around. These are MUCH better than the original tins for the pencils.

A high quality case which holds the contents securely and protectively
I needed a case to store some Caran D'Ache Luminance pencils and because I bought what I thought was a smaller version last year, I knew this would be perfect. The overall quality is excellent and I prefer the elasticated slots which can hold 2-4 pencils, since they make it easier to remove the pencils from the case. When this one arrived I discovered I'd ordered an identical case - including colour and size - to the one I bought last year, which I suppose shows how much I like it. I'm using it to store 36 Luminance pencils, with 3 in each elasticated slot. The Luminance are among the bigger colouring pencils in terms of circumference, which is why there are only 3 in each slot. Slightly slimmer pencils like polychromos or Prismacolor would easily fit 4 to a slot, making the stated capacity accurate.I'm very happy with the case. It opens like a book, making it easy to select from the stored pencils, and is ultra-secure when closed with the popper which attaches the top of the zip to the case. My sister became the happy recipient of the "old" case and is also using it to store her Luminance pencils. She hasn't got quite as many as me so is also using the case for her blending pencils and a couple of ordinary graphite pencils, with everything fitting perfectly. The quality of the case makes it easy to recommend, even though the price is quite high. If you need to store the right number of pencils - bearing in mind that size does make a difference - this is a perfect solution.

Global 48 Pencil Case - A fab case
This 48 pencil case is a really good one! Mine is the sage coloured one and I use it as my main one that I chuck in my backpack together with my sketchbook whenever I go out. It is a little bit bulky, simply because - well how could it not be with so many tools of the trade in it. [See photo]. With regular pencils you can fit three into each slot, and with pens two. There isn't a pocket for an eraser or a sharpener, but I simply place mine at the bottom of the shorter pens. Haven't had any problems with them sliding around at all, so works well for me. The materials and sewing are very good quality, it doesn't feel as if it is going to come apart. I'm really happy with my case and I have no hesitation in recommending it. In fact I am planning on buying the 120 pencil case for my Polychromos, having now tested that they would fit three to a slot in this smaller, cheaper case. I'm that impressed by it! /// Edit: Having now used this case almost daily, I would say that you can actually fit four pencils into each slot. It's a bit of a squeeze at first, but now it's pretty much a perfect fit. The elastic has stretched very slightly, but it hasn't in any way become slack. I don't feel at all worried that the elastic will wear out anytime soon. See additional photo.

Great case
Lovely case. I had seen someone else’s in a different colour and decided to get the 24 and 48 for myself. I find this to be a really attractive shade of blue. I plan to use mine for colour pencils. Other reviewers are right in that the 48 size really fits 36 more easily but if you really needed the space for 48 it can be done (although if you use strictly Luminance pencils you would struggle- I can fit 3 Polychromos and 1 Luminance as a maximum although I am choosing to stick to 2/1- a limited palette never harmed anyone). Another reviewer said that it is a bit short because of the rounded corners. I can see that if you put in 48 new pencils it could be a bit tricky but I use mine so often that I always have shorter ones that can go at the ends so this isn’t a problem. It also isn’t a problem if you only put 3 pencils in these end spaces. Really pleased with how smooth the zip is and how sturdy the case feels. I will be much happier travelling with my pencils now they aren’t rattling around.

I also own one of the 120 pencil cases to store my colouring pencils (I wanted a really good case as the pencils themselves are
Not my first Global Art pencil case, I also own one of the 120 pencil cases to store my colouring pencils (I wanted a really good case as the pencils themselves are a mix of Faber-Castell Polychromos, Koh I Noor Polycolour and Caran D'Ache Swisscolour which are all really good quality), the 48 pencil case is to store some pens & pencils for work purposes. These cases feel like a quality product, I really like the small press-studs on the zippers and the overall feel of the case. The only gripe I could have with them is that the number of pencils stored may be lower depending on the thickness of the actual pencils you put inside, each loop holds several pencils and it can be quite a squeeze to actually get the full 48 in there. Not a cheap series of cases but very much worth it.
