I have 3 of these heaters in various sizes and they all work great. The suction cups aren't as sticky after a few months but thats what happens to all suction cups unfortunately. The heater is brilliant and its great knowing it has a safety cut off and detects when out of water.. highly recommend

Really good item and easy on my big tank to keep an eye on the temperature, keeps the tank warm, it is easy to use and a good size, taking 1 star off not for the people who have sold it but did have delivery issue which amazon sorted out very quickly.

Ordered it without reading the bad reviews on it. Wasn’t expecting much from after that. NOTHING wrong with it, it keeps water at constant temperature & fully adjustable temperature range.

Bought this heater for my 280l synodontis tank and I have absolutely no problems with it. The cage the heater is in reduces any burn risk to my synos as they like to rest on the heater and often clean any debris off of them.The temperature display works well and also helps me ensure I keep the water the same temp at water changes (30% changes, keeping heater submerged as it is positioned lower than the amount I remove).Traditional heaters always scare me as I’ve heard horror stories about them cracking and zapping all the fish in the tank etc. but this heater gives me peace of mind. I will be buying more for when i set up my next 2 tropical tanks which will be soon.

Been using this (300 W model) for about a year now to heat 5 gal. pails of water quickly for water changes with good success.I just had to put it in my 55 gal. display tank because that heater failed recently (different brand, different design), so I quickly ordered another one of these HiTauing heaters to have on hand because I really like this model and I still need a second heater for water changes and emergency backup.This is what I like about this model:-You adjust the temperature from outside the tank. I hate having to reach into a tank to turn a knob or dial to alter a temperature setting so this is a feature I was seeking.-No separate temperature probe: This makes installation easier, especially when placing in a sump filter.-Overall length: This is shorter than some of the titanium tube-style heaters I've used before, that barely fit into my sump. This model easily fits in my sump with room to spare. The base is about 11.5 inches long.-Auto Submersion Detection: If the heater becomes exposed to air, it shuts off automatically to prevent damage. However, I believe this only works when the heater is installed vertically.Nothing to complain about, other than possible accuracy of the temperature rendered. Use a second thermometer to verify the correct setting for your tank. The heater keeps the temperature consistent, but the actual temperature may be off a degree or two from the reading on the controller so you may have to compensate for that.If you are wondering which size to get, you want about 5 Watts of power per gallon of water. In other words, a 20 gallon aquarium would need about a 100 W heater.

works like a charm. no problems as it keep water warm in the aquarium. fish are very happy.

I love this heater, I have a 46 gallon tank and all the available heaters in stores are the type that cannot be submerged so they short out. The few submersible heaters that are available don't heat the tank at all, only 1 corner really. So the size, submersion and consistency of temperature are all great. My only constant problem is the hole at the end. I have lost fry to this and my golden snail laid fertile eggs so babies have gone into the heater and died there. I'm actually finding it difficult to remove the shield in order to get the shells out.Edit: I managed to clean it only to find that my leaking tank shorted the control piece that sits on the outside of the tank. Now I liked this product to purchase a new one but the seal we replaced in the tank failed the day I got the new heater. Luckily, I saved the heater in time. But now I have to hide the temperature control inside the stand since there is no preventing water from getting in and ruining the entire control device. It will not work if this part gets wet.
