2500 Sq.Ft Dehumidifier, 34 Pint Smart Humidity Control, Drain Hose

I had a couple of questions about setup, and the support team went above and beyond to help me. They were friendly, responsive, and made sure I felt completely confident using my new machine. This is quiet and efficient, and the water reservoir is adequate for collecting the water and easy to remove and empty. very happy with the dehumidifier. very good value.

This dehumidifier is very productive. I got the DryTank 3000 model. In just a few days it has transformed my 750 SQFT apartment into a comfortable oasis in the midst of the onslaught of Florida summer. I’ve actually been able to turn my thermostat up a couple degrees and maintain better comfort. Anyone who lives in a climate where their AC struggles to keep the relative humidity at a comfortable level surely needs one of these. This is a real compressor and refrigerant loop powered dehumidifier capable of dehumidifying an entire large apartment, not one of the tiny underpowered semiconductor ones that can barely dehumidify a small closet. (Paper towel roll included in photos for scale) Pros: Light weight, works quickly, quiet, compact design, auto shutoff when bucket fills, built in hygrometer allows you to set desired humidity (but it can also run in continuous mode), optional drain hose and garden hose adapter allows for continuous operation if you have a floor drain Cons: Does not have a pump (so it can not be used with a hose unless you have a floor drain) bucket is kind of small (but making it bigger would make the unit less compact)

PROS: It is reasonably quiet and easily rolled around CONS: It did not come with a 'garden hose' connection as is shown in the user/install manual. PAGE 6 of the operation manual states:Auto-Restart:"If the dehumidifier shuts off unexpectedly due to power being cut, the dehumidifier will restart with the previous setting automatically when power resumes." ** it does not restart. Sent an email to "service". They responded with questions, after I explained the problem to where they understood, their communication stopped. Tried the VELLGOO web site it times out and does not load. I assume they are no longer in business. It does not dehumidify very much- Ran dehumidifier for 24 hours at 67 Deg F. The humidity went from 68% to 67%. Ran for another 24 hours and humidity went down one more percent. Barely can be called a dehumidifier Fortunately the dehumidifier was withing the Amazon 'return window'. FYI: I have had multiple dehumidifiers over the years for use in my basement. It seems that in the past few years, they are getting more expensive and quality has dropped. They usually last no more than 1.5 years. I would like to find one that will last like they used to. If they will actually 'replace' a defective unit, they usually do not want the old one returned. Then it's up to the homeowner to dispose of 'hazardous waste' at their cost. Not worth buying unless you just want to hear it run just for fun.

I'm updating my review to reflect unexpectedly great customer service. The original unit failed after a few months and I posted a bad review. Customer service reached out to me totally unsolicited and sent me a new unit. I didn't expect it and didn't want to hassle with a warranty claim. I work on AC systems and usually try to repair my own equipment. I run 7 dehumidifiers between my shops and home and usually use high end USA made units. I needed a small one to put in a 5th wheel during storage. This unit fit the bill quite well so I was a bit sad to see the 1st unit only last a few months. Things I liked: Good size for the RV Worked well at first Low noise Decent humidity control After the unit failed I opened it to look for the leak source unit my leak detection meters. I believe the leak was from the mechanically installed plug on the factory fill line and installed a brazed in port in it's place. These units use R32 refrigerant which my local supplier does not stock and isn't used in any other equipment I work with. Not wanting to purchase a full tank I filled the unit with R410a (it's 50% R32) and checked for leaks. Found none so basically confirmed the factory fill port plug was the likely source. The unit ran on the R410a but since the refrigerant properties are different the coil temps were off enough that it wouldn't efficiently dehumidify. I'll update this review again if the replacement unit fails.

Love my dehumidifier. Not too heavy. Can handle it myself. Nice looking unit. Works great. Best customer service ever experienced! Very accommodating. Very knowledgeable about product. Would definitely buy from them again!

I really like this dehumidifier and I tried two others! It works really well. It is nice looking. I use it in a small bathroom and it is tall and narrow. Very easy to use. It is not loud but I am sensitive to noise and I turn it off at night due to the sound. It is easy to clean and to empty out the collected water.

Purchased October 2024 and this dehumidifier stopped working after I unplugged it for a day.. Yes, I bought this dehumidifier a few years ago but I would have thought dehumidifiers would have lasted longer. I don't recall moving it a lot throughout its lifespan, but one day about two weeks ago, I unplugged the dehumidifier and rolled it out of the way to see ice my water filters and when I plugged it back in I got no response from the dehumidifier. I waited 24hrs (because maybe I leaned it to much when moving it??) but when I plugged it in again it beeped like it was turning on and then it died completely and has not shown any sign of power since... Disappointing.
