This genuine spring is a perfect fit
This scissor spring for the 58 mm Victorinox is absolutely perfect. I used a static drill press with an upside down 1mm drill to press out the old broken spring. Then a similar process to fit the new one. it took less than two minutes for the job. I am well satisfied with the product which does indeed look genuine. I recommend this spring from this supplier and will purchase another as and when needed. Hope my quick tip helps others.

You'll need one for your Classic eventually
I've had a Classic SD knife for years, and the only possible minor hassle is that, eventually, the tiny spring breaks at the bend. So get a couple of these (very tiny) springs and keep them somewhere safe. You'll need a pair of pliers too, but it's not rocket science. Anyway, delivery was reasonably quick and all else was well. No complaints.

Simple replacement, fits perfectly
Excellent fit, smooth replacement. I used the corkscrew from my larger Swiss army knife to get the old spring out and then simply pressed the new one in using the flat bit of the bottle opener, I hope it will serve me for another 20 years just like the original piece

Works well after careful and fiddly installation
This can be very hard to fit and, personally, I found narrow-nosed pliers by far the easiest method. I ruined one spring following the method described by the manufacturer in the messages here. The problem is that you don't know how much force is needed and once the spring is kinked, that's it; it will never be 100% right. Once you've got the old spring out, align the tiny loop on the new one with the hole and apply gentle pressure with pliers. Use one hand to hold the scissors and spring line up as best you can. This can be very frustrating as everything wants to slip around. I recommend trying both sides to see whether the spring will go in more easily on one side or the other, because, as I found, you do NOT need a lot of pressure to get it in. I was successful with knife body on the left and scissors on the right, half open to expose the entire spring-hole. Good luck.

perfect
I bought these for my little victorinox classic signature. a wee bit tricky to fit, but a good pair of readers on and a big light and my wee favourite pocket knife is back in action. thats months its been in now and still going strong. I cut all the 3 kids fingernails with this wee pocket knife so this spring has been in action on a near daily basis since I got it. I hate ragnails at work so this knife is always in my pocket for this main reason. I was gutted when the spring broke, and Im so please that this new one is good quality.

Successfully repaired two Swiss Army knives in a matter of minutes.
A pair of needle nosed pliers make light work of the repair. I was concerned that the stub of the old spring might break off and leave me with a problem but it is stronger than I feared and slid out with a firm sideways pull. Getting the new spring lined up with the hole was a little fiddly but once I had done that my wife was able to gently squeeze the pliers and push the fitting home. Delighted to get our mini penknives fully functional again for less than £3 each. Purchased from Jersey based Onogo and delivered in under a week.

Be careful that you are choosing the correct size.
These are for small scissors, not the kind that are in most Swiss Army knives - make sure you're ordering the correct spring. It would be nice if this had been made clearer in the description.
