Best beans ever .
Best beans ever . Beans change to green when cooked , & have a true French bean flavour. Heavy cropper and stay tender and stringless even when large . Freeze well .

Tale of two halves
Excellent germination rate (90% or higher). Grow on well and strong runners/climbers. Not yet got to harvest but I'm hopeful of good things. Best batch of the various seeds that I have planted this year, by far. Update: Changed from 5 to 3 stars. The beans bleach to green when cooked, so what's the point of growing purple beans? One review says that they are (very) tasty, they are okay, but only okay, nothing special. The stems are nice being purple but the leaves wither quickly and aren't attractive.

Good product, worth growing!
These were good! You csn eat the young pods raw but I prefer them cooked. The purple pods change colour & cook green, like magic ! My freezer is full of them & will be good for a few months to come. The beans that went past their best, too large, we saved, podded, then froze blanched beans for baked bean & chilli dishes. Will grow again.
