This is a nice product. The projections are large & clear and very life like. You can also purchase additional slides to look at. Its got a timer feature AND it can rotate. Its very quiet. They sell projectors like this for up to 500 dollars and I dont think you need something that expensive to get good quality after owning this. However , I purchased this for 62 dollars a few days ago & today its 79 dollars! I think a fair price would be in the fifty dollar range, all things considered its a high quality View Master

I love this! It really helps me sleep! I feel like I am truly sleeping under the stars! It is completely silent, it slowly rotates and gives the gentlist of light for when you have to get up in the middle of the night to pee so your eyes aren't irritated by it. It comes with I think 4 or 5 different scenes that are hard to choose from so I just rotate them at my will. You can also adjust the clarity using the dial in the front. It's very simple to use.

A great projector! I have the Sega homestar which was much more pricey but not as bright as this one. The one flaw I have found is when it spins sometimes it skips which ruins the moment. And the one thing it is missing from the homestar is the shooting star which is my favorite feature!. If they added that and smoothed out the rotation it would be perfect!

Edit October 2025: A few months ago, the projector apparently stopped taking a charge andwouldn't powerup even when plugged in. The battery can't be replaced by the user, assuming that's the problem. Adding insult to injury, none of the plastic parts appear to be recyclable. So now it's just garbage and more e-waste. Original Review 2023: This is the best home planetarium projector I’ve ever owned. Sadly, that’s not saying much. On the plus side, the image that it projects is bright, clear, and detailed. On the down side, the angle of projection is fairly limited, so the image will appear right in front of you instead of providing the all around you, immersive classic planetarium experience. Also, while a sharp focus can be achieved, the rotation motor vibrates the focus ring, causing the image to lose focus as it rotates. I wish someone sold a micro version of the classic Zeiss double ball planetarium projector. Now that was a planetarium projector.

I absolutely love this! It was easy to setup and adjusts to any angle. You can place it in the middle of the room, on a night stand or anywhere. In any angle it looks great! It does work best in a very dark room at night. Not the best in just dim room. I love the rotation mode! Pair this with some relaxing meditation music and you will literally feel like you’re floating in space. I highly recommend it! This doesn’t compare to that purple/pink skylights lamp that you see everywhere. If you want a truly celestial experience, this is for you!

I purchased this in January 2023 and my kid loved using it every night. Unfortunately, it stopped turning on about a month ago. I have tried using the original cord and base it came with, as well as replacements. The timer light will turn on, but the projector light will not power on. I rated it 2 stars in terms of value since it did not last an entire year before failing.

Compared to what available this projector is quite impressive. We purchased many extra disks and it’s fun to change between them. I wish a future version would come with story telling and some sort of story based narrative around science and the history of the universe. Enjoying this thoroughly until that time.

Looks nice but is quite expensive for the limited features. A few of the included slides are really good (Milky way, Moon), but for others the quality is average.
