When motion causes alarm to turn on, how long does it take to turn off by itself? Thanks

It has different sounds that it can be set up to use, I use the dog barking
sound with growling and it takes about 22 seconds to go silent.

I would like to add motion detectors. It says more can be added but can't find the motion sensors alone. Could I purchase a few more motion sensors?

....Then why bother answering the question, Wilma? Now anyone else with the same question has to read, "Not sure.... blah blah." In the future, if you don't know the answer, then just move on. Let someone who IS sure answer.

You see, the question is about the functionality of the item in general--not about your particular situation. Lots of questions follow the same format, requiring either Yes or No. Others may regard a specific quality of an item's functionality. For example, whether the dog sounds are realistic or if the build quality is junk, etc... You see how this type of question is looking for opinions? About individual owners' experience?

If the question had been, "Do I need to use an AC adaptor? Or is it practical to stick with batteries?" See how your answer would have been reasonable--minus the 'not sure'? Because you ARE sure. You chose the battery route and never looked back. That is useful information in this case but irrelevant to the question as stated.

Moreover, there was no need to spend time on this question because there probably was a different question you could have helped with. What happened instead is you posted a useless response that now stands between the question and the answer, requiring a click to view other responses, which will show this message first and waste even more time for people who want to know if the item can run using the adapter, without batteries.

Meanwhile, the question you COULD have used your time to answer with useful information went unanswered until someone else should come upon it and help. IF someone should ever come along and help. What I am trying to do is help get the word out that answers like yours in this particular case are useless and, doggonit, it make's people think of you in a less favorable light than you may deserve--you meant well. You just didn't know--or you weren't sure. Maybe you panicked. In any case, it was a learning experience that others may benefit from and not make the same mistake. So it all balances out.

Oh good heavens WILMA, I think u mean well as Tim said....but maybe u need to read the question over a few times an give your answer more thought? Like does your unit have a little "hole" where u could insert one end of a cord while inserting the other end of said cord into a wall socket? That would be an Adapter (Like what's used to Charge a mobil phone)  You already said u use batteries....so if your unit has the little hole for a connection, then YES it could use an adapter... so either your unit came with an adapter or its is compatiable meaning you must BUY one  if u don't want to always rely on batteries.
Your reply should have said either No I did not receive an additional item (Adapter) or Yes I got (Adapter) but didn't know what it was for? Sometimes products indicated this is included item or is not included but one may be purchased, and on occasion we may receive a  purchase that is accidentally missing a particular piece,  which would help if that were your case.
If your not sure then in the future keep Scrolling and save yourself & those seeking an reply they can use, I'm quite sure you can be very helpful in your answer if u think it over a bit before hitting reply. Have a good day and by the way.
