Hearth & Homestead Whipped Beef Tallow for Skin & Face, Unscented, 1.3oz

This is good stuff. I've been looking for a product that will eliminate, or at least relieve, post menopausal crepey skin on my legs. I've tried numerous lotions and several body oils but nothing's had the lasting effects I've been searching for. I finally decided to try tallow and this is the first tallow product I've tried. First, the orange vanilla smells so yummy, nothing like I imagine tallow would smell like. Second, it's so creamy it's dreamy. The whipped texture is soft and smooth and melts right onto my skin. A little goes a long way. Once worked into the skin, there's no heavy greasy feeling, it doesn't take much time for absorption. Third, if I massage the product onto my legs on Monday, on Tuesday my legs still look hydrated, not to mention it leaves my skin baby soft. While I can't comment on the long term effects just yet, I can say that at the moment it is the most promising solution I've found for crepey skin.

If you love vanilla and coffee scents, this is such a great combination. It gives off a warm, sweet, inviting aroma that makes me want to keep smelling my skin throughout the day. The fragrance is noticeable but cozy rather than overpowering. Overall, this is a wonderful lotion for anyone who loves rich moisture and warm, comforting scents. It has become one of those products I genuinely look forward to using. My skin feels incredibly soft and hydrated, and the vanilla coffee scent is absolutely amazing. I’ve been using the Hearth & Homestead Whipped Beef Tallow Coffee Vanilla balm for a few months, and it has quickly become one of my favorite skin products. Wish I jumped on the tallow bandwagon earlier. What a difference it has made for my face. I have tried so many other over-the-counter products (CeraVe, The Ordinary, Olay, etc) and skin was dry, patchy, acne prone and had dark spots. I noticed an almost immediate difference with this stuff. My skin is hydrated all day, my pimples are healing up quickly, and my skin tone is more even. The product itself is fluffy consistency, easily spreadable, there are no fragrances, and a little bit goes a long way. Totally worth the money. Not going back to any other products now.

This product line won my over to tallow. I previously tried a different brand purchased as a maker's market that smelled lovely at first (lemongrass) but faded to a strong earth scent, like garden dirt. I read that grass-fed tallow, even when processed correctly, can smell earthy, so I was turned off from talow. Hearth & Homestead is completely different. The soft scent carries through the prodcut, and even as it fades on the body, the remaining scent is just natural. The emulsuion is thick and fluffy like really nice buttercream and just a dab on my fingertip covers my arms and legs. While the jar is small, it is going to last a long time since the product is so effective. It blends into the skin quickly, leaving deep moisturization without feeling greasy. My keyboard/phone isn't oily after I rub in into my hands unlike some other heaview body butters. I will be sharing this line with friends who were curious about tallow products. The price is typical for what I've seen at maker's markets and farm stands; considering the quality and efficacy of the product, I don't consider it overpriced as some reviewers have said.

Overall I love this, and the reviews were spot on! My skin has felt incredibly soft and moisturized since starting this. A little bit absolutely goes a long way. I find it goes on much smoother if your skin is just a tiny bit damp. If skin is completely dry, I find it feels hard to rub in without tugging at my skin needlessly. If I use too much, my skin definitely feels a bit greasy, so it's been a little bit of a balancing act trying to find the right amount between not enough and too much. But once I found that balance, I have loved this product. I got the butter almond one, and the scent is good, if not a tiny bit like buttered popcorn? But it's not overwhelming or long lasting. I will may try another scent next time, but definitely will continue to buy this product.

As a 45 year old who isn’t wanting Botox, I bought this product with high hopes (but skeptical at best). I kept hearing about the tallow trend and figured it was worth a $30 investment to see if it’s all it’s cracked up to be. I’ve been using the product for 4 months and have been amazed at what it’s done for my face! My forehead and smile lines are still present, but somehow softer and less noticeable. Most importantly, my skin is soft, smooth and free of blemishes! My face truly does look younger! It’s not a miracle de-wrinkling cream, so if that’s what you want perhaps looks elsewhere. But for me, it’s exactly what I was hoping for — a way to achieve a natural glow. Highly recommend!

I purchased mine back in May of 2026. I've been pretty consistent with using it at least once daily, but I try to use it twice daily now. I LOVE the lavender scented option so much that I'll probably never try any of the others now lol. The texture is very "whipped" but also creamy. The application goes on smooth. I use it on my face & hands. For your face, you really dont need very much at all, a little goes a long way. But using "too much" still doesnt feel super heavy or thick, but will look fairly greasy (but doesn't really "feel" greasy, if that makes sense) until fully absorbed by the skin. Which my skin absorbs it fairly quickly within an hour it no longer looks greasy. It doesn't feel sticky at all, which I LOVE. & once absorbed, my skin feels oh so soft. I do notice a slight improvement on my fine lines & wrinkles on my forehead & "crows feet" area, & have even gotten recent compliments on my face appearing to "have a glow". I can only attribute those compliments to this product!! I will be a loyal customer from here on out I assure you!! 10 stars!! Quality is worth the price for the quantity amount in my opinion considering a little goes a long way.

I would give this 10 stars out of 5 if I could. I've now tried 4 different brands of beef tallow for my skin (all either Canadian or US brands), and this is by far my favourite yet. Leaves the skin feeling moisturized all day, and not quite as "greasy" as other brands. Plus the scent of this coffee and vanilla beef tallow is amazing!!! I think I have found the one I will stick with.

Amazing cream. I have combination skin oily but also areas of dryness. After only one application my skin texture, appearance and dryness improve. Thus has to be the best moisturiser I have ever used. It's a beautiful consistency and did not have adverse effects on my oily areas of the skin. No breakouts or feelings of congestion. Skin feels amazing. Smells so good. I usually avoid anything scented and also have had issues with essential oils in the past but this seems to be working well for me. Each day my skin appearance and feel is better and better. Skins is left feeling so so soft and moisturised and at the same time soight as if you haven't used anything. I will also purchase the unscented one soon just to see how that compares to this one. Expensive but I absolutely love it. My search for a good moisteriser that suits me has ended. Thank you.

LOVE IT!! I love beef tallow.. liked the first one I got a lot but wanted to try a different one and this is lovely. You do only need a lil bit…I personally don’t care if it is a bit greasy as my skin is so dry now I’m oldish :( although if you do as it says (use a v am amt) you won’t be. I love that it’s fam owned made in small batches etc.. and small tho it seems it WILL last a long time, my previous one did too… cos you only need a lil bit!

This product is wonderful. When I first opened the jar, I was pleasantly surprised by the delightful fragrance of citrus and vanilla. Then applying the product was so pleasant, creamy and refreshing on my skin. It’s very different from other skin care products that I have used and I have used many. Plus it is not overly expensive like many others in this category of skincare. This is a keeper for me and I highly recommend you give it a try.

Was a bit skeptical regarding tallow as it's hailed on social media as if it's a magical remedy... they were right for once. Overnight 95% of my redness and cracks from my dermatitis/dyshidrotic eczema gone. The product is fragranced with oils which concerned me at first but it smells good and has no reaction to my very sensitive skin. Absorbs quick and pairs well with a cotton glove. Even used it on the husband, 100% recommend to everyone.
