Eliminates smells all good

excellent product and easy to fit to bath. Description says tested resistant to chemicals like paint thinner. Others state they cannot have drain blocker put down......time will tell if this as his as it states . Only disappointment and hence 4stars only was although I was aware, the knuckle connector is not included in the pack and had to be purchased separately from Toolstation for £8

Cured to sewer smell coming from the bath. We don’t use the bath that often so the conventional p trap would dry out and let the smell in. This ingenious device has cured all that.

We had a smell coming up the waste pipe into the downstairs bathroom caused mainly by having a low profile trap on the shower and therefore no water in the trap to stop smells travelling up it.Installing this worked perfect as it seals the pipe when water is not flowing but opens immediately when water does, perfect.

Fitting these in line with the existing trap instantly eliminated the smells that were feeding back through the existing drain system. Simply cut the waste pipe where it's accessible and these can be inserted in line with the existing traps. No more smells.Worth every single penny.Be advised - installing them in line does require an additional adaptor as what's in the package assumes that these will be connected directly to the shower.

This unit does what it says on the tin. Very good if you have a shallow fall and can’t fit a normal u-bend in, but:1. Don’t expect it to drain fast, especially if it’s installed horizontally. There is a limit to how fast the water can get through it when gravity is it on your side.2. DO NOT use a plunger for a blockage. I did and it pulled the flexible seal inside out and put a hole in it. You’ll have to take it apart to clear a blockage. That’s why I had to buy a second one.3. The instructions say that you don’t need to use sealant on the joints - you do. Both of mine leaked slightly even though they were correctly installed and done up as tight as possible. Once installed, slap silicon sealant all around the joints and it will be fine.

I bought this item as a replacement for the same item that was installed 10 years ago. Since installation, the odor problem in my bathroom has gone. It works. The item allows to air-tight seal a water drainage without having to install a water lock. It takes less place because you don't need the bend.

Might be down to me rather than the product but after installing it the correct way it took ages for my sink to empty so ended up reverting to the old system of u bends and everything drains fine now.
