i have this detergent, but it doesn't seem to have a fragrance, when used in the steam mop ! am i using too much water ? should i be using water?

Hi. I do not believe there is a fragrance. I think it is just a detergent to clean the floor. I trust you are putting the detergent and water in separate compartments. As I do not know what sort of steamer you are using I cannot really comment further. I hope this helps.
