Wish it was for me!
I bought this for my dad but wanted to set it up before giving to him, now I want one!I hadn't seen one in the flesh or heard one as they are very hard to find in stock so I took a chance and based my purchase on reviews from What Hifi and other Audio Pro reviews on Amazon.First of all it looks fantastic, the whole thing is very high quality, the beautifully crafted leather handle sets off perfectly against the gold control panel and the grey finishes it all off perfectly.Fortunately the sound quality matches the looks, it sounds incredible for such a small unit. Sounds good at all volume levels with no noticeable distortion at the highest level and also importantly it has a lovely rounded sound which doesn't fatigue you after extended listening.Set up was pretty straightforward and once you have had a play with the app to work out all the functions it it is very easy to control.Wifi performs very well, it is currently placed at the furthest point from the router(40 feet) with a couple of walls in between, signal shows as 40% but I have not experienced any drop out at all so not planning to use the ethernet port.Access and control of Spotify and Tunein is easy and intuitive although the amount of radio stations and podcasts to chose from is quite bewildering to start with, fortunately you can add your favourites and also save them to the 4 preset that can be accessed from the device or the app so once set up it is easy to find what you want. The only down side was that the product which was bought from Amazon UK but was shipped from Amazon EU and came with European power leads only. All credit to Amazon who sorted it out very quickly(as they always do)In summary if you want a stylish retro look with fantastic sound quality you can't go wrong, relatively expensive but worth every penny.

Love it!
Really great sounding speaker. I already have one of the older T9 speakers which I have linked up to this speaker with a Link 1 wifi adapter sold by Audio pro. I love that it has 4 presets so you can set your favourite stations. The sound from these speakers is very full bodied, you can alter the treble and bass from within the Audio pro app which I've found easy to use. There's no distortion when playing at max volume which is very loud. Speaker looks great and is well made.I thoroughly recommend this speaker I've had my T9 for 18 months and love that one too.UPDATE: Remember when setting up to open Audio Pro app go into speaker then Info and check the box for unit password and add a password ,otherwise you will leave an open Wi-Fi link to your home network.

Great sound, issue with bluetooth and iphones
Great sound, issue with bluetooth and iphones. Had to keep resetting the thing by turning it on and off when I'd paused the iphone. Sent it back in the end. Sad, as the sound was great.

Immature, flaky & insecure firmware
Avoid if you have any knowledge of or concerns about networking. The firmware appears to be very flaky and behaves in a bizarre way. For example, the unit has an Ethernet port but it doesn't seem to get an IP address unless you first connect by WiFi. Indeed, the unit doesn't appear to accept media streams over the Ethernet port - this may be a side effect of the way in which it connects to your network. I have found that AirPlay mostly doesn't work - the unit is usually not recognised as an AirPlay device even from iOS. Even when you have connected the networking security is terrible - out of date and easily open to hacking. Don't use it without a strong password or if you have neighbours who can see your WiFi network. The documentation is really bad and misses out practically all of the important information - perhaps because the company hasn't thought about it. I have no interest in using Spotify. As a device to play internet radio streams from TuneIn it is ok though insecure, but there are plenty of other units that do this. It is supposed to be able to receive streams from an NAS or network computer. How I don't know. I have managed to get iTunes to stream to it on one occasion but mostly it is unrecognised and unable to initiate the stream from its end.Added Dec 2018: AudioPro have updated the firmware so that no longer does it represent a gaping security hole in your network. I have found that now I can use it with AirPlay - but not, I think, with AirPlay 2 - fairly reliably. The phone app remains pretty flaky - trying to turn off the Sleep timer doesn't seem to work. As a consequence any stream seems to be interrupted briefly after 30 mins as it tries to sleep and then realises that it is still receiving a stream.Questions about sound quality. Clearly some people think that the sound quality is good. Direct comparisons with my hifi equipment (switching from one to the other) suggest that it is considerably worse but it is much cheaper. OK for background listening but not for serious music.

A great recommendation
Bought because it is a What HiFi category winnerThis is not the most attractive box you will ever see (a cause for frequent comments) however, that is the only negative point about this item.Up close the build quality is impressive. I like the metal control panel on the top surface, it looks and feels great. It is also easy to paid with a blue tooth unit (in this case my android phone). I like that it is available on my wifi network for other sources (like my laptop) and can take RCA inputs as well. I am using an old Creative Zen MP3 player though it as well.So it looks good and gives you multiple options to connect to it - but what does it sound like? In a word GREAT. It has been a real pleasure to rediscover my music on a speaker that reproduces it beautifully. Yes it is expensive - but if you like to hear the detail in your music reproduced with great tone it is worth every penny

Good sound balance and quality, speaker housing looks good, multi-source functionality works.....
I am using this speaker in a small library room for watching DVDs, Netflix etc. on a large HDMI monitor via Aux connection as well as listening to internet radio sound via Airplay and finally Bluetooth to hook up to a vinyl record player. I don't have music streaming accounts, e.g. Spotify.Overall the Audio Pro C5 meets my needs and I can use the much maligned App on the iPhone to regulate the speaker volume, adjust bass and treble etc. from the comfort of the sofa. I am happy...

Excellent for Spotify
Bought as an speaker that can play music independently. With Spotify, all members of the same WLAN can take turns in playing music and can travel outside Bluetooth range without interruptions on playback. Great sounds for such a small speaker, cheapest one that has the dynamic range to play classical music on a decent level.

Amazing sound from small, portable speakers
I ordered these because I'm working from home all the time now (like many people) and my favorite work area was one of the few in the house with no decent audio. Our Sonos Play 5 has been extremely frustrating with its wifi dropout issues; evidently they're well known for poor performance with anything other than strong wifi, which I wish I had known before I bought them. Anyhow, I wanted the C10 but couldn't find one in stock anywhere, and thus took a chance on the "lesser" C5. If I had paid attention to the measurements and realized how small it is I wouldn't have ordered it, and that would have been a huge mistake! The sound is amazing and the features are excellent, including built-in Bluetooth. It has EQ features which I've played with a bit but ended up leaving at defaults because that sounds great; at first I thought it was a little boomy and needed less bass but I've changed my mind. Our wifi is worse on the first floor than I realized, and the C5 will drop occasionally, but unlike the Play 5 it doesn't lose its mind and refuse to ever play anything again -- it just picks up again when it can, usually in a few seconds. However, when I do carry it down to the first floor I use Bluetooth instead of wifi, thanks to the dropout, and it's flawless. I'm pretty sure there's a C10 in my future, perhaps replacing the Sonos. I know there are features on the C5 I haven't even explored (presets, Spotify connectivity, inputs I don't need, ...). I'm well and truly sold on Audio Pro.
