Will your jump leads work with a Mini Cooper?

As long as you can get to battery, my car is a hybrid so battery is accessed via a jump lead box under the bonnet, access to battery is difficult. Make sure you get the polarity correct when attaching to battery, attach each lead, first black, to any bare metal under bonnet and red one to +tive connection on battery. Check whether your car is negative earth or positive earth.

I am confused, the instructions state that with keyless entry vehicles, the keys should be distanced from the vehicles, so how can you start them

Once you have double pressed the lock button open the car with the unlock button. Put the keys into an RFID car key wallet. Set up the leads and when the other car is running take out the car key from the wallet and you should manually put the Key/Card into the slot. Then start it up.

Can I use these just to close car window without actually turning the engine over?

If you connect the car with dead battery to a charged battery then yes the electric windows should work! However when actually using to start a car it is recommended to turn off all electric devices such as radios, lights etc to avoid damaging with a potential power surge!

Why are lithium metal batteries required ?

Don't understand your question. They are booster cables for starting batteries/vehicles etc. Maybe you misread something about use with Lithium battery
