I bought one to illuminate an area next to a carport that was a very dark spot in my yard in order to get to my garbage can at night. Love it!

Like ease of installation. Wish light output was a little more but does OK for what it used for as a pole light in a pasture .

It has a button on the remote “ Always on” That doesn’t mean always on though. It means on full bright after sensing motion for a few minutes Then goes to 50% power. We would have paid double for one that stayed on full bright but the tech is not there yet unless you get into the 500-1000 dollar range. Pictures here on a type 30 were bright enough at night IF…… it stayed on full bright All night . Mounting plate is steel and held onto a 2” diameter pipe jus’ barely. A nickels worth more quality on this would be nice and would gladly have paid more for it. Overall for some all these special lighting modes may be perfect but not suited for our needs. Hopefully, someone will pick up the challenge to make a proper light run from solar and have it be an all in one . No separate panels to concern ourselves about wind shear or vandalism. The fixture we use now weighs about 30 pounds so a properly made “ all-nighter” can be heavy but just has to deliver light all night no motion sensor,no photo cell, and bright as can be. Our organization has a need for thousands of fixtures like that should one ever be for sale.

Using this light to illuminate an entry gate to my ranch. This gate is roughly a 1/4 mile from the main house with no electrical availability. Making entry difficult after dark. As long as light gets plenty of sun light it works well being solar. Motion detection works well also, but; brightness cuts back rapidly if there is not constant movements to keep activated. All plastic construction so mounting it somewhere with even a remote chance of impact by something! Most likely casing will break.

The setting I chose is low ambient lighting and increase lighting when motion detected. I really like the mounting hardware as it is metal as opposed to others that are plastic it will deteriorate over time. I've not stayed up and watched it until sunrise, but it's always been lit when I'm up at 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning.

The light seems ok. The mounting bracket made from very thin metal, expect it will break from the first strong wind.

It's a replacement of what we already have that gone bad. We love the product
