I'm somehwat of an audio snob; so will I hear a decrease in audio quality vs the 3.5mm plug? Thanks

I like the Bise brand. Don’t listen to all those haters out there. I found really no loss of quality. I use this combo of headphones and wireless connection everyday and it’s reallt good. I’m sure on some micro scientific audio-snob level there is some loss of quality on a Bluetooth connection vs. hard connection, but why would you care so much about something that you can’t really notice.

The photo for the item doesn't look like a qc15 plug. is this definitely for a bose qc15?

I took the chance and purchased this item even though the photo looks off. It fit! I assume that, since this product is not made by Bose, that they cannot actually use the QC15 in their product imagery. If you look closely at the image, there are no logos, and lines that should be smooth and round are actually polygons. It looks to me like the photo for the AirMod was computer generated to look similar enough to the QC15 that we'd buy it, but different enough that they don't get sued.Whatever the reason, it fits in my QC15, no matter what the photo looks like.

Is music sound quality hindered by this device?

That's a bit more about the device streaming to it. As long as you using a newer smart phone or newer computer, no. I have been pleased by the retained quality using the airmod.

do these only work for bose headphones or witthey work for audiotechnica m50x?

This adapter only works for Bosé QC 15.
