Easy to swallow and good EPA/DHA
The capsules, which are made from bovine gelatine, are easy to swallow at least in terms of being no different to other fairly large fish oil capsules. The daily dose is a bit confusing because the nutrient breakdown on the label (EPA/DHA) is based on "two soft gels" a day but the dosage advice states that three should be taken throughout the day with plenty of water.I prefer to take one a day and whilst I understand the rationale of maximising daily absorption, I would prefer a one a day tablet at a slightly higher dose or perhaps a two a day dosage regime. There isn't any information on the packaging describing the source of the fish but the type of fish is clearly described. I would have liked to know a bit more about the source of the fish especially given the premium price of the capsules and especially given that three a day means that there's only a forty day supply in the bottle.I like the capsules and the fact that vitamin E is part of capsule (two capsules providing 23%).The expiry date on the capsules (October 2024 for a March 2022 supply) is also excellent.I would probably buy the capsules again but would like to know more about the source of the fish.

Excellent dosage
I recently tried this omega 3 fish oil supplement and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and effectiveness of the product. The two capsule dosage provided me with 1200mg of omega 3, which is a great amount for a supplement. The omega 3 supplement is rich in essential unsaturated fatty acids EPA and DHA, which are crucial for maintaining good health. For me, however, I am taking double the suggested dosage, as recent bloodwork showed that my omega 3 levels are down, despite supplementing already.Overall, I am extremely happy with this supplement and would highly recommend it to others. The quality of the product, combined with the decent cost of £0.28 per capsule, makes it excellent value for money. There clearly are cheaper options on the market, but this brand is very well respected and for the quality and dosage you get, this really isn't a bad price.

Well dosed with a good EPA to DHA ratio
Being an avid supplement consumer for many years I’ve used Life Extension many times and can attest to the quality of their products, as is usually the case these fish oil capsules are no exception and get a thumbs up from me. They’re well dosed and have a good EPA to DHA ratio, I learned about this listening to the famous Bio hacker ‘Dave Asprey’, EPA should be considerably higher dosage wise for optimal results. The capsules are well packaged, Life Extension bottles always have a premium look and feel to them. I’d say these are fairly priced considering you know what you’re getting with this company, there are more cost effective options out there but sometimes it’s worth paying a little more knowing that you’re getting what’s stated on the bottle.

Added to my daily supplements
Since taking these, my joints have felt better. I’ve never taken anything like these before but I was suffering from shoulder pain and knee pain. I have backed my weight down for certain exercises but I have started taking these at the same time too. It’s difficult to say which has had the most effect but they are all noticeably better and I feel much happier when training now. It’s so much easier to take there for me as I haven’t the time to eat such a varied diet. I know this would be a better way to take in vitamins and nutrients but when you just want convenience these are ticking the box. Very happy, easy to swallow no weird tastes. Happy,

I am happy with the quality and purity!
The human body can make most of the types of fats it needs from other fats or raw materials. That is not the case for omega-3 fatty acids (omega-3 fats and n-3 fats). The body cannot make these essential fats from scratch but must get them from food. Foods high in Omega-3 include fish, vegetable oils, nuts (especially walnuts), flax seeds, flaxseed oil, and leafy vegetables. What makes omega-3 fats unique? They are an integral part of cell membranes throughout the body and affect the function of the cell receptors in these membranes. They provide the starting point for making hormones that regulate blood clotting, contraction and relaxation of artery walls, and inflammation. They also bind to receptors in cells that regulate genetic function. Likely due to these effects, omega-3 fats have been shown to help prevent heart disease and stroke, may help control lupus, eczema, and rheumatoid arthritis, and play protective roles in cancer and other conditions.Omega-3 fats are a vital family of polyunsaturated fats. There are three main omega-3s:• Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) come mainly from fish, sometimes called marine omega-3s.• Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), the most common omega-3 fatty acid in most Western diets, is found in vegetable oils and nuts (especially walnuts), flax seeds and flaxseed oil, leafy vegetables, and some animal fat, especially in grass-fed animals. The human body generally uses ALA for energy; conversion into EPA and DHA is limited. In addition to postpartum depression, some studies suggest that EPA and DHA could help treat various neuropsychiatric conditions. These include:• attention deficit hyperactivity disorder• post-traumatic stress disorder• Parkinson’s disease• depression• dementia• schizophrenia• cognitive decline, including memory lossSome studies have suggested that omega-3 supplementation may help prevent cognitive decline, especially in older adults. However, their results are not conclusive, according to one 2019 review.Omegas are staple supplements for me. Besides Omega-3, I take a phospholipid complex (flaxseed-based) and Primrose oil. I take various supplements and amino acids daily, most targeting the brain`s health and enhancing cognitive processes. Due to combining several lipids, I only take one softgel daily in the morning. As such, I supplement with a complete Omega variety.I am happy with the quality of the Life Extension supplement. It is of high quality, and it fulfils my daily needs. I will happily continue taking this product because of its purity and quality.
