I am writing this on behalf of Flo and Finlay our turtles. We have tried other branded specific turtle foods, but this is our 2nd pack of the Tetra, and whilst there are cheaper foods available, for us Tetra is the brand that we prefer. Semi floating slightly worm shaped about 25mm long, and cater for both surface and lower level feeders. Good contents listing so in theory no other requirements, but we also add occasional thawed prawns and a calcium block to their tank. Very happy Turtles.

Started using Reptomin a while ago as aquatic turtles have very specific dietary needs and overfeeding can easily occur and cause shell deformation if you over fee live food. Both of my Yellow Bellied sliders love the sticks.I also feed them 2-4 large Romaine Lettuce leaves per day clipped to the side. I like the Reptomin sticks as I have two yellow Bellies in the same tank at the moment and they eat at different speeds, if I put other foods straight in the water one will overfeed eating 2/3 food and the other will underfeed with 1/3 or less, with the sticks I hand feed a stick to each alternatively until they are both fed. once a week they get a larger feed of Hikari Wheat germ pellets for Koi, pre soak them and it helps the aquatic turtles swallow them. Tips : Only feed enough Reptomin that will fit inside their head if it were hollow once per day for juveniles (my 4" juveniles each get 4-5 sticks. Sticks probably too big for very small hatchlings but aquatic turtles like Sliders grow very fast and even at 2 inches would have no trouble breaking these sticks and eating them. Some turtles spoilt with fresh or live foods will be very fussy and may not take to the new food. If youc an find a healthy alternative then go for it otherwise a little tough love will be required, check dedicated turtle care forums for advise on how to proceed.

Used this for several years now and my turtle just keeps on growing. It doesn't pollute the tank like somewhere foods and is the right shape for the turtle mouth. He is really healthy and active so I can't say fairer than that.
