Useful for PC - GPU to earc Soundbar.

Gets me full Dolby 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound through soundbar. Soundbar required earc for this and Atmos. My tv does not have earc ( has arc ) . Allows me to see full 4K pic on my tv and full sound experience on soundbar, filling the gap of tv not having earc.

I own an LG CX, which has an eARC port but it also has a bug that does not allow Dolby Vision when audio is set to pass through to my eARC Bose 900 soundbar. The soundbar will have Atmos, but TV will only have HDR. If I change my TV to “auto” audio, Dolby Vision comes back but I lose Dolby Atmos audio.This device fixes these issues. By splitting the signal beforehand, I’m able to get Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Better still, this device works just fine as an eARC pass through. I’m able to switch from an OREI input to a TV app or separate TV HDMI port and the OREI will automatically switch to eARC mode.The device does have its quirks, however. Due to the fact that you have an additional device in your connection stream, handshaking can be a little slow. Sometimes you have to manually change between inputs on the OREI for it to re-shake. I’m using one input for my Shield and one for an HDMI switch which has 4 gaming consoles. Handshaking with the consoles still works, but I occasionally have to switch through the inputs as mentioned above. It shakes with the Shield very consistently.All in all, still a 5 star unit as it’s much cheaper than its competition and the quirks are justified, all things considered.

Does exactly what I wanted it to do. Now getting sound from my optma projector to my sonos arc in full 7.1 Dolby. Ordered on 31st October from Amazon UK. Came from America even with adapter plug for UK and was with me within 5 days. Thanks

My prism+ tv only has a arc port with a sonos beam gen 2 soundbar but i am only able to get dolby digital 5.1 at most when i stream shows on netflix etc. Plug this in and i was getting dolby atmos immediately , definately an upgrade in terms of sound quality !!

It's a pretty good product and it lets me experic Dolby Atmos as it should be heard but it doesn't work all of the time. At times the audio cuts out and it can take some time to get the audio back no matter the source. I usually have to turn it off and turn it back on. If not for this I would have given this 5 stars.

I am using this producer between Nvidia shield pro and sonos beam gen 2 sound bar to extract the EARC input.The device is able to do the function and I am able to get even dolly Atmos on my sound bar but the problem is I am keep loosing the sound. it just stop working randomly . Only way to get the sound back is either remove the EARC cable at back of unit or power cycle the whole set up.A big inconvenience.Note : This does not happen while watching a show but if I leave the system idle or switch between apps, then I have this problem.3 weeks after purchase, the unit died. It is not turning on any more.
