I cannot seem to work out how to plug in the battery box, all I seem to have is a round hole in the back, am I missing something?

Believe you can add a battery pack which plugs the hole, or use and adapter. I have an adapter which has 3 leads off it which powers up 3 different houses

Can this be used with the lemax adaptor?

Yes, by batteries or by Lemax adptors
