Excellent piece of kit!
This pump us a quality piece of kit. I bought this to replace my trusty old Michelin twin barrel pump, whose hose had perished and was now taking ages to pump anything up. The first thing you notice about the Heyer is how smooth the barrel action is. No squeaking. The pump also sits firmly on the floor when in use and the large dial is easy to read (Bar main scale, Psi secondary). The twin nozzles are great as you can swap between Schrader and presta valves without the need of an adaptor. I found this handy as my family has a number of bikes, so pumping up tyres with different valves is easy. There are a few extra adaptors (for pumping balls, etc up) also included secured on a plastic holder attached to the hose, so everything at hand to pump up virtually anything. I did a bit of researched before going for this pump. The only negative issue appeared to be with the metal clip that keeps the pump folded when stored - there were reports of this getting in the way when using the pump. This is not an issue if you simply flip the catch around so it's under the pump body when using - so a non issue really. Expensive for a foot pump? I don't think so.

Brilliant piece of engineering
Considered many options for replacing a trusted Halford own-brand double barrel foot pump that has served me for 20 years - even considered the modern electric ones up to £80 after having a bad experience with a Michelin digital one from Halfords (batteries lasted a dozen uses, then the frame snapped), so decided to stick with solid German engineering and haven't been disappointed. It has very solid construction, yet takes surprisingly little weight to operate and the return spring is perfectly set to keep it against your foot. The display dial is clear and large and settles very quickly after each pump. The valve head _IS_ made of plastic, but it's incredibly strong ABS and seals to the valve (either schrader or presta, so no messing about for the bicycle) very securely. The only disappointments are the clip to keep it closed (which you bend every time you put the pump on the floor if not careful) and the holder for the "extra" valve fittings which similarly slides down the pipe and drags along the floor - but those are minor niggles. Has just inflated a tyre from 0.5bar to 2.4bar in about 20 seconds - much faster than an electric pump could.

Smooth and powerful. Slightly flawed.
The pump mechanism is excellent. Smooth and powerful. It retains pressure in the system once the required pressure reading on the dial is reached. This stops air pressure leaking out of the valve when you disconnect. Small negatives. .... the connector is chunky and strong which is good, however if the tyre has a short valve fitted it can be a struggle to get it fully onto the valve as you can find it contacting the wheel itself, thus stopping a full connection being achieved. I've usually managed to get it connected in the end but it's a faff at times. The metal clip that keeps the pump closed for storage gets caught under the moving mechanism when the pump is being used. I've adjusted it so I can remove it completely when in use and just refit it when finished. A design flaw. Overall it's the best quality pump I've owned, just let down by a few unnecessary niggles.

Just excellent.
I bought this brand of footpump on the basis of the good reviews here on Amazon and I have to say they are not wrong. What a lovely bit of kit! Beautifully engineered, well worth the premium price, with smooth functioning pump action and an accurate manometer (checked against a Sealy professional gauge). I have had many of this sort of pump through years of motorcycle and car ownership and they have all turned out to be more or less rubbish: unstable in use, inefficient or just not up to the job due to poor build quality: but the Heyner is just so much better, solidly constructed it gives the impression that it will last for ever. All then various fitting you would expect for inflating different things are present of course, but the clever dual car/cycle valve head is just an example of well thought-out manufacturing. German engineering indeed! You will not be disappointed that you spent a bit more and bought the best quality if you get one of these. Recommended.

Real QUALITY....at last!
I have 3 classic cars along with my everyday driver and I have used a selection of foot pumps over the years, including top manufacturer endorsed ones, all with disappointing success. I bought this one in lockdown hope about a month ago. I am delighted to share here that in my experience so far, that it has actually exceeded my expectations and fully lives up to the product description. It is indeed beautifully made with con rods in polished steel and all metal sturdy construction with no hint of the frame flexing or moving on its rubber feet when pumping. The large gauge is clearly calibrated and is easily red without even my reading glasses with my failing eyesight and also appears accurate, though I check with a calibrated gauge always as a former engineer. You can even Feel the positive operation of the non-return valve under your foot in use! For those concerned about the price I can only repeat what hung on the wall behind a former Project Manager's desk...."The Euphoria of cheap price is quickly forgotten in the Misery of re-work, modifications and replacements". Well done Heyner! Quality is so very rare these days. I shall be looking out for this brand name in future. I unreservedly award 5 stars to this double cylinder footpump.

Great while it worked
Was a great pump, but today it just stopped working. I assume a seal has failed somewhere. Had it just over two and a half years, used monthly on two cars. I use a separate pressure gauge, but in fairness it seems quite accurate. Build quality is great, something I was reminded about when I had to use a Halfords pump an hour ago. It felt like it could collapse at any moment. Only 3 stars as it wasn’t cheap and should have lasted longer. Pump is kept in a warm garage so seals shouldn’t have perished. Everything appears to be working ok, just no air coming through the connector valve. After looking to see what’s available it looks like I will be buying another.

Good quality pump
I bought this pump after being disappointed by a series of cheap pumps which either broke or leaked after a short period of use. This one is a well made pump which appears to be solid and stable. The pressure connection onto the tyre is substantial and leak free, although it might prove a little large for some deeply recessed tyre valves. With two cylinders it takes a bit more effort to use than single cylinder versions, but gives a more compact overall size. I checked the pressure gauge against my digital 'standard' gauge and it is within 1psi at 40psi, so good enough to keep in the car and use in emergencies. Overall, worth the extra money

Certain Something
Something dreadful is happening, we think at our local gym. Two of my wife’s tyres were delicately and painstakingly punctured to ensure a slow puncture in both front tyres. The second where a sharp blade was used to raise a flap on the side wall of her tyre and then the base under the flap was punctured with a sharp object. On making enquiries it seems that many others have suffered the same fate and several cars have been ‘keyed’. Then I noticed that both front tyres on my humble Nissan Juke called ‘Custard’ (you’ll have to guess the colour) started to go down and each week the tyre pressure warning light was coming on for one or the other. I took it to our local Kwik Fit who have always sorted our tyre and suspension problems quickly and accurately and they removed both tyres and squirted them for an age with lashings of soapy water. Fortunately or otherwise they could not find anything and as they said to me “We can only fix what we can find.” I therefore decided to simply await events and each week kept pumping the tyres up. In order to get the tyres back up to the correct levels I’d have to perform about 200 pumps for each tyre from my old foot pump, which was actually not that old. This was quite hard work and the whole thing would wheeze and gasp along – a bit like me really! Soon afterwards the frame of the pump shattered in mid flow and I was unable to pump any more. I tried the little electric pump that came with Custard as along with many modern cars he didn’t come with a spare. Mercifully my wife bought me a super Christmas present which she hid under the bed in the spare room of spare tyre, jack and spanner thingy – what more could a man want! Unfortunately the electric one made a ferocious noise and took an age to inflate the tyres so much so I thought it was probably contributing more to global warming rather than the correct tyre pressures for Custard. I realised that I was in a bit of trouble and felt that I needed an unequivocal solution. I knew that I needed certainty, precision, quality and of course, at such times, I knew that it had to be German. Enter this amazing pump which was delivered, click and collect, the next day by Amazon. This comes in a quality box, then a useful zip-up storage bag. As one looks at it poised next to one’s tyre one knows that it means business and one’s problems are all but sorted. It comes with adaptors for sunbeds and footballs and so on and also a clunky double head attachment which I am not keen on but one cannot have everything. It’s a little harder to pump than my old one but of course gets much more done each ‘stroke’ and my tyres are inflated for another week in no time at all. I reckon about 60 pumps each tyre. The other point is that the whole assembly feels poised and stable as one presses down on it and it is quiet with a smooth unruffled efficiency that we have come to expect from German products. The inbuilt pressure gauge seems clear and accurate though I always rely on my own gauge that I bought separately on Amazon and is an amazing gauge. There is a good correlation between the foot pump’s readings and my own gauge. I’m not quite sure what lies ahead for poor Custard and his tyres. I do know however that whatever happens this trusty pump will accompany us both on this journey.

Veramente tanta tanta aria !
