Super popular, dang good, suprisingly repairable.
**TLDR:** This is a handy little mixer, not a blender. It replaces those old-school blender bottles with the wire ball, and it does it cheaper. It's great for mixing protein powders or drink mixes quickly and easily. The quality isn't the best, and it might not last long, but it's super easy to clean. If you're making a lot of powder drinks, it's worth it. I'd give it four stars because it could be more durable or repairable. --- Amendment This review was initially done before the postscript addition afterwards. It covers the possible repairability aspect of this product. Even so, I decided to keep my original review the same, and simply make this note, and the one at the end. --- **Product Overview:** This product is a small, battery-powered mixer that you've probably seen all over TikTok or AliExpress. It's got a plastic stirring piece, not sharp or made of steel. It's not a blender, just a mixer. It's designed to replace those blender bottles with the wire ball inside. It's cheaper than those too (Depending on the exact bottle you get), so if you're just looking to mix powders, this is a good choice. **How It Works:** The mixer has a fairly weak electric motor at the base of a plastic cup (Plenty strong to mix protein powders!! Just not a blender!). You fill it with water about three-quarters full, turn it on, and let it create a vortex. Then, you add your protein powder or drink mix. It mixes everything quickly and thoroughly in about 10 seconds. It's super convenient for getting powdery drinks blended without the hassle of using a spoon or shaking a bottle for ages. **Quality and Durability:** While it's a handy tool, the quality isn't top-notch. The battery isn't removable, and the motor is likely pretty cheap. I mena, these cost less than the company that just put a wire ball in a plastic bottle, so, this is too be expected. The USB-C charging port is covered with a rubber insert you take out to charge it, but it will wear down over time. The button feels solid enough, but it's clear that there are quality improvements to be had in the base. It’s not the most durable product, but for its price, it does the job. **Ease of Cleaning:** One of the best things about this mixer is how easy it is to clean. Unlike traditional blender bottles that can be a pain to scrub, you can clean this *like* a blender. Just rinse it out, fill it with water, add a bit of dish soap, and let it blend for 30 seconds. It’s quick and hassle-free. The base also comes off, so you don't have to worry about any crud living at the bottom of the cup in hard to reach places. **Overall Thoughts:** This mixer is a solid choice for anyone who frequently makes powder drinks. It's not going to last forever, but it's convenient and easy to use. If a version with a removable or replaceable battery existed, I'd give it five stars. As it stands, it's a four-star product because it could be more durable. If you need something more powerful, like for blending fruits, you'll want a real blender. But for simple mixing tasks, this does the trick. **TLDR:** The Vortex Blender Bottle has a hidden 18650 battery in its base that's surprisingly easy to access and potentially replace, despite the company not selling replacements. This makes it more repairable than expected, earning it a five-star review. --- PostScript review --- **Battery Access and Replacement:** While writing my review for the Vortex Blender Bottle, I discovered something pretty cool about its battery. Initially, I thought the battery wasn't replaceable, but I decided to check out the base of the blender. It turns out, the rubber feet on the bottom are actually removable, and not just sticky ones you can't put back. You can easily take them out and put them back in. Underneath those feet, there are four screws that are super easy to remove. Once I unscrewed them, I found an 18650 battery inside the base. If you're familiar with 18650 batteries, you'll know they're one of the most common rechargeable lithium-ion batteries out there. They're used in a lot of things, including the original Teslas and even some new ones. Most electric vehicles (EVs) use them, at least until new battery tech comes around. So, if you're comfortable with how these batteries work and how to replace them, you could swap it out. Just remember, not all 18650 batteries are interchangeable, so you need to know what you're doing. Even though the company doesn't sell a replacement battery, getting into the cup is so easy that I'd say it's replaceable, at least by someone who knows what they're doing. You could even take it to a repair shop for help. **Final Thoughts:** Finding out that the battery is accessible and potentially replaceable really changes things for me. I thought the battery was the weakest point of the blender, but now that I know it can be replaced, I'm giving the Vortex Blender Bottle a five-star review. It's a great product, especially with this newfound somewhat unofficial repairability.

Excellent blender with plenty of power and good battery life
This a really solid blender - which is really what it is. Effectively and quickly blends protein powder, etc., with little or no unblended powder like you get with a typical shaker bottle. The charge also lasts a while and is very easy to recharge. I think I get at least a week+ of daily use before I need to recharge. And cleaning is a breeze. Just fill it hot water and a little soap and let it run under the faucet. It's also a bargain for the price.

Great, mixes well, easy to wash but may get you soaked with redirected water from faucet XD
I just got this, and I absolutely love it. I wasn't expecting something to put a big ass grin on my face like when I used this to mix my first drink. It's silly, I know, but oh well! I've had issues with shaker bottles in the past, usually leaking from day one, even if a little. So far, this has been leak proof. The lid closure is also a bit different from what I've used in the past but this is a nice twist on it (literally and figuratively). I like the color of the one I got, I actually forgot I changed it from the orange so it was a good surprise! The size is good, holding a max of 20oz (600ml), it has a line for the max fill for mixing, though I imagine that's with the lid off? Honestly, not really sure. I will say you should probably listen to it, if you go to the max 20oz line instead of the roughly 15oz line, you're probably going to end up with it coming out the top. With the lid on though, didn't have any issue. Now, I do have two minor gripes, very minor and not enough to remove a star for by any means. First, the design of the bottom of the cup has a lip. Which is probably necessary to ensure a good seal, but it also creates an issue when washing by hand. As soon as you put this under a faucet with the bottom tilted toward you, it hits that lip and launches the water right at you. My shirt is still drying as I write this. Still, it is a minor issue and just something I need to be mindful of in the future. Second, the flip top doesn't have any kind of stop when ... scratch that, just looked a little closer. There are a couple little nubs that if you open the flip a little beyond where it initially stops, it will friction stay in place so you don't get the contents still in the cap on your face when it comes back to smack you XD. I'm not sure that was the intent and do worry about it wearing down the material over time, but it works, and maybe I'll just learn to keep it propped with a finger so I don't have to worry about that.

Strong motor/ spill proof
Strong motor, mixes thoroughly. Used it daily and still works great. Battery life is great. Durable after dropping many times and it doesn't leak.

Powerful and Smooth Mixing, but Durability Needs Improvement
I purchased the VOLTRX Electric Protein Shaker Bottle (24oz, USB Rechargeable, BPA-Free Tritan, Black) about a month ago to streamline my post-workout routine, as I’ve been using my body measuring tape and men’s active T-shirts to track fitness progress in my backyard with my 10- and 11-year-old nephew and son. I needed a reliable, clump-free shaker for protein shakes and meal replacements after gardening or bodyweight workouts. After using it daily, here’s my detailed take on its performance, including pros, cons, and tips for other fitness enthusiasts. How I Used It The shaker is a 24oz (700ml, marked to 20oz) Tritan cup with a detachable USB-C rechargeable base, a 6000rpm motor, and a patented blade for vortex mixing. I filled it with 12oz of water or milk, added one scoop (30g) of whey protein or vegan protein powder, and pressed the button for a 15-second mix. I used it 1-2 times daily, mainly post-workout or for breakfast shakes, and cleaned it by running it with warm water and dish soap. I charged it once after three weeks and tested it with creatine and a meal replacement powder. It’s stored in my gym bag alongside my athletic gear. Pros Clump-Free Mixing: The 6000rpm motor and patented blade mix protein powder flawlessly in 15 seconds, leaving no lumps, even with thick vegan powders or milk, as praised in reviews. My shakes are silky, unlike my old BlenderBottle’s ball mixer, which left residue. Long Battery Life: After a 2-hour USB-C charge, it lasted three weeks with daily use (1-2 mixes), exceeding my expectations. The LED battery indicator is handy, confirming claims of a month’s use with thrice-weekly mixing. Easy to Clean: Cleaning is a breeze—fill with warm water and a drop of soap, run for 15 seconds, and rinse. The detachable IPX5 waterproof base and removable silicone seals make it hygienic, unlike wire-ball shakers that trap residue, as noted by users. BPA-Free and Safe: The Tritan material feels sturdy, is odor-free, and meets infant-grade safety standards with no BPA, giving me confidence for daily use, especially around kids and my cat. The leak-proof screw-on lid holds up in my gym bag. Quiet and Stylish: The motor is whisper-quiet compared to blenders, ideal for early morning shakes without waking the family. The sleek black design with a glowing LED base looks modern, adding flair to my workout gear, as users highlighted. Cons Fragile Base Connection: The plastic threads connecting the cup to the base chipped slightly after a 3-foot drop onto my kitchen floor, echoing reviews about durability issues. It still works, but I’m cautious now, as some reported cracks or leaks from drops. Inconsistent Motor Power: With two scoops of protein or thicker liquids (e.g., oat milk), the motor slows slightly, requiring a second 15-second cycle. Reviews noted weaker motors in newer models compared to older ones, and I felt this limitation. Small Capacity for Large Shakes: The 24oz capacity (marked to 20oz) is fine for 12-16oz shakes but feels cramped with three scoops or added ingredients like mashed banana, as some users tried. A 28oz option would be better for bodybuilders. Initial Charging Issue: Out of the box, it only ran one cycle before needing a full charge, despite claims of a partial charge. This aligns with user feedback about needing a full charge to calibrate the battery indicator, which wasn’t clear in the manual. Comparisons Compared to the BlenderBottle Classic V2 (20oz, $10), the VOLTRX is pricier ($35-$40) but eliminates clumps and manual shaking, though it’s less durable. The Promixx Pro Shaker (20oz, $40) has a stronger motor but a smaller capacity and no detachable base, per reviews. The JOTER & LIBEAR Electric Shaker (22oz, $30) is similar but lacks the VOLTRX’s quiet motor and LED base. My men’s active T-shirts pair well with this for workouts, but the shaker’s portability outshines traditional ball shakers like the VELOMIX 28oz pack, which are cheaper ($20) but noisy and harder to clean. For a premium option, the HELIMIX 2.0 (28oz, $25) is non-electric but larger and more durable. The VOLTRX suits my needs for quick, smooth shakes, but durability is a concern. Tips for Buyers Charge Fully First: Charge for 2 hours before first use to calibrate the battery indicator, as partial charges may limit initial mixes. Use the included USB-C cable and check the LED for full charge. Avoid Overfilling: Stick to 12-16oz of liquid and 1-2 scoops of powder to prevent motor strain. For thicker mixes, run two 15-second cycles and shake gently to start, as suggested by users. Handle with Care: Avoid dropping the bottle, as the base threads are prone to chipping. Store it upright in your gym bag to protect the connection, addressing durability complaints. Clean Immediately: Rinse with soap and water right after use to prevent residue buildup. Remove the base and silicone seals for a thorough clean, but don’t submerge the base, despite IPX5 rating. Who Should Buy This? The VOLTRX Electric Protein Shaker Bottle is ideal for fitness enthusiasts, busy parents, or those with wrist issues (like my elbow brace days) needing a quick, clump-free shake for protein or meal replacements. It’s great for home or gym use and gifting for occasions like birthdays, but may not suit heavy users needing larger capacities or extreme durability. For a tougher option, consider the HELIMIX 2.0 or a full blender. Overall, this shaker has transformed my post-workout routine, delivering smooth shakes with minimal effort. It’s quiet, portable, and stylish, though I’m cautious about drops and thicker mixes. I’m happy with the purchase and might gift one to my brother! If you’ve tried this or have shake-making tips, share in the comments—I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Stopped working after 4 months
Used it for mixing my creatine up. Had to run it 3 out 4 times to get it mixed well. But after 4 months of use it will no longer run or charge at all. Update 08/20/26 About a month after leaving this review, someone from the company reached out to let me know they have warranty and will replace my cup. She was very apologetic and incredibly nice. Costumer service gets an A+. I now have a brand new cup that I have been using for almost a week now. And I love it.

No more shaking and trying to get rid of the clumps
Love it! Quick charging, does a great job, the charge was good for at least 6 uses... Possibly more. It's sturdy and easy to use, cleans easily. Well worth the price. Good size. It's a little heavy but that just goes to show how strong it is. I've used it for mixing protein powder and put a little bit of creamy peanut butter in with it and it did the job.

Finally a shaker that actually mixes protein properly
I’d been looking forward to trying this one, and it didn’t disappoint. The mixing performance is genuinely impressive – my protein shakes come out smoother than with any regular shaker I’ve owned, with no annoying clumps left behind. It already came with me to the gym on its first day. The design is well thought out too. I really like the threaded lid, and the overall shape feels comfortable to hold and drink from. Cleaning is also much easier than a traditional shaker because there’s no plastic mixing ball or mesh insert to remove and wash separately. A quick rinse is often all it needs. It also looks much better than most shaker bottles, which is a nice bonus. The only thing I’d change is the size. At 680 ml it’s fine for a standard shake, but I’d happily buy a 1-litre (or even larger) version for days when I want to mix more than one serving or add extra ingredients.

Great Quality Shaker for the Price
This shaker is really nice and feels like great quality for the price. I’m very happy with it—it’s a big upgrade from the traditional shakers I used to use. It makes mixing much easier and more convenient. The only downside is that it doesn’t always mix everything perfectly—some small clumps of protein powder or creatine can remain. But overall, I’m very satisfied with this product.

Definitely worth it, but here's some tips
Been using this a couple of weeks now for protein shakes. Works well.... The power is good. How I use it: - add milk or water - add 1 measure of protein powder (not more, as I read it can make the vortex struggle) - press the button.... The vortex will mix for 20 seconds or so. - add the 2nd scoop/measure of powder - press the button to mix again - add 3rd scoop/measure - press button to mix again. Drink! - add hot water from the tap and a dash of washing liquid. - press the power on a few times so it does it's thing and removes any powder that might be getting into the mixer section (another reviewer said the powder could infiltrate and clog up the mixer thing) - rinse. Be careful to protect the usb port, as one review said water can get in there. I generally put my thumb over it as I'm rinsing or washing. Overall, very light, very good, powerful enough, and portable enough (going on holiday with me so hope it lasts the 5 weeks).
