Hi Pablo, This is silent but an alarm clock radio, the alarm and radio are not silent. Kind regards, Kerrie MyMemory

is it battery operated

mains operated with back up battery pp3 9v (not included)

How long will the radio alarm stay on for after going off ? Will it stay on perminantly or turn itself off after a set time ?

It stays on for quite a while! I'd say about 45-60 mins then automatically turns itself off if you don't turn it off yourself
