Hey, after buying this (and noticing some people saying it's 10°C) out, I learnt bi-metal dial thermometers like this are regularly out by up to ±5°C! I also learnt that in a range of 0-10°C the amount they are out is consistent so if you discover the difference you can just use mental math to correct the reading. I tested mine vs a ±0.5°C accuracy digital probe put into a bottle of wine that's been in there days. This particular thermometer I've purchased is accurate to +1°C, which is pretty good actually. You should check your own though!

Seems to do the job after three years of use. My fridge is old now (10 years) from this review and my friend was getting sick, as I thought it was the fridge/freezer, it made no difference if I couldn’t tell if my food was being stored at the right temperature or not. The one I wanted was unavailable and so I got this one. Small and simple and clear markings it can sit on a shelf. You can hang it off a shelf too, (even off a hook if needs be). Now I could see my temperature and adjusted the single fridge/freezer regulator accordingly and job was done. I literally check it every time I open the fridge door as second nature without even realising it and it gets pushed to the back and I can still see it, and it’s good to know, in case you have a problem. It may alert you to a failing appliance and save you from bouts of food poisoning. Its handy colour-coded design lets you see at a glance and I was happy with this I bought a second for the freezer as it works both in fridge and freezer, bought three years apart and when tested, they was only one degree difference and that may have been because one was closer to the side than the other. (Then I placed the new one in the freezer). So I am more than happy with this product. Thermometer £3.19 bought in November 2013 and £3.99 at September 2016. --------------- Second one bought in August 2016 for £3.99 ----------------- When this second one arrived, I put it in the fridge next to the original and visited it several hours later. It was only one degree out and maybe because it was slightly cooler away the side where one was closer too. Then I put the new one in the freezer. When I checked it the next day, -20°C and after -17°C then again back to -20°C. A good way to keep an eye on if you old fridge or freezer is in trouble. So I am happy with this product.

Easy to use. Came bent so had to fix it

This doesn’t actually measure the temperature or tell how well the settings of the fridge are set it only measures the air temperature in the fridge , I put a glass of water on the middle shelf and left it 24 hrs and then I dipped a food thermometer into it and it told me the same temperature as the settings were at which was well below what that thermometer was reading ,to me a waste of money

This little thermometer is brilliant. It requires no batteries and no maintenance beyond an occasional wipe over. It looks great, works well and is small enough not to get in the way but big enough to read easily. If you have rack type shelves you can hang it but if you have glass shelves ( like me, ) it is also freestanding. I like the way that the clear, bright dial is marked up with the safe zones for refrigeration and freezing. I bought one for each compartment of my fridge freezer and it works great in both.

On dirait que tous les fabricants de thermomètre oublient sciemment que les clayettes des frigos et congélateurs verticaux sont en verre plein, et plus sous forme de grilles. Et pourtant, leurs images montrent toujours des thermomètres suspendues à un des fils de la grille. Ceci étant dit, le diamètre de 6,5cm est suffisant, mais d'autres thermomètres du genre proposent un diamètre de 8,5cm, ce qui permet une lecture nettement plus précise. Je préfère mettre un euro de plus et avoir une meilleure précision, c'est pourquoi j'ai retiré une étoile. Néanmoins, il fait très bien son job... après tout on n'utilise ce genre de thermomètre que pour s'assurer que la température au sein de l'enceinte réfrigérée soit dans les normes pour une bonne conservation des aliments

Ho termometri per frigo/freezer di 5 ditte diverse. Questo qui è il termometro migliore di tutti. 3 indicano la stessa temperatura, al massimo appena un grado di differenza, e uno dei tre è questo qui. Quindi posso dire che è molto preciso. Che un cliente che dimostra una differenza di 5/6 gradi mi meraviglia. O è rotto, o è sbagliato quello che dà il riferimento... non lo so. In ogni caso, da me è piuttosto preciso (e sbaglia il freezer, perché se tre indicano la stessa temperatura....), e ha un ottimo appoggio. Perché quasi nessuno avrà più una griglia nel frigo (e tanto meno nel freezer), quindi non si può appendere, e tanti termometri sono principalmente per appendere, e non va bene l'appoggio. Quindi questo qui è preciso, è bello, ha un buon prezzo ed è stabile sul suo appoggio. Quindi ne ricomprerò un altro (metto i termometri quasi su ogni ripiano)

Lo tengo para comprobar la temperatura del congelador. Va bien, cumple con su cometido y no se empaña.
